hi guys.

i sold my first Excavator in America.

in this case, in according with the owner i want to show to everyone the handmade building progress, from the laser parts to the final product.

i want to start with the pump.

this pump is a professional hydraulic pump made in italy,
the pressure range is 0 to 280bar but in this case we kill the pressure at 35/40bar

Would you be willing to share a link for the pump supplier?

I look forward to the progress!

Exactly. The link are correct but my pump is custom made and you can't find it in the standard product range.

I read your posts on another thread about the excavator, you are doing a great job!! Looks like a very strong and well thought out build. What are base prices ? Just curious. I'm eager to see how you build the undercarriage. That's what gives me the most head scratching. Are you building parts with manual machines? Or do you have access to cnc and high production equipment. If I didn't already have an excavator I would be very interested in one you are making. Keep up the good work and we can never have too many pictures of the build process :).

Big ol pump! I like the Ferrari Red Italian color scheme; )

thanks so much guys.

the 90 percent of the excavator (excluded pump ecc ecc ecc) is made by laser cutting.

is not easy to make a project and drawing but now is more easy to built.

now i wanna talk about a slip ring.

http://i67.tinypic.com/29dg0if.jpg

this slip ring is custom made for my excavator, is not a cheap slip ring but i can't put on a cheap stuff for an important thing like a traks motor power.

each wire is 15A current limit and is enough for my motor power.

the diameter of the alloy case is 45mm and 35mm thick.

If we have understood the price level for this machine correct, as is mentioned in your other thread, that's quite impressive considering all the custom built mechanical/electrical parts you are using in the machine. You must have gotten some good deals with your suppliers, that's great)

thanks rimrok.
yes, i have good skill to play with my suppliers.
i not have large quantity of parts but all my supplier understood my passion and help me to have the best a good price.

in the same time my profit is very very low but in this moment is not important.
for me is very important keep this project alive until will be everything perfect.
after this time i will put on the price to the correct level.
