Knuckle sacks new dump! [Archive] - RC Truck and Construction

Well...a friend of mine,(Raiders) Has been supplying my doggies w/there favorite doggie treats. This has been going on now for about a year.
Now Larry has been on me for awhile for a dump truck,& just haven't had time to build one for him. Now ole-Larry who supplies my babies treats,all of a sudden starts to have a problem gettin them. So during one of our chats,the d/treat thing comes up.
This is some crafty thinkin on larrys part,in short! No dump,no treats!:eek:
So....Here's the start of Raiders dump.
She's a King/H'er 6x6 gear reduced,lathe motor,screw drive 15.5"dump w/some of my up dates.:D

I really like your dump boxes, Fred. Even from the underside, they look great. Very few commerically available boxes, if any, have any kind of underbody detail at all. That's why I like your's.

Well...had to remake the frame rails.The first box was spoda be 14".
So chassis is together.

Raiders owns a pet health food store :eek: in california. Go figure? Now that's one of the smartest business moves I've seen in awhile.Not only are the people on a health food kick,so are there pets.
He sends me only the best (healthy) treats there are on the maket today.
So Alfy,Thanks for offerin the toys,But the turkey treats rule!
Ole-Larry has that gig nailed right down,tryed to find them on line,no dice! I think he makes them in the back of the store.
& Larry,you might want to contact Brian in pa.He has a dog that he's killin w/kindness. Should be a good target for sales. You can help him bring back er puppy figure:D

Them babies are still warm from the mill.Hope to have the front & rear ones done this week.
I can't believe I'm useing all my trick stuff on this build,& not one of my own. Larrys gunna have a kooler truck than I have.

Well really wanted to kick butt on this build today.It's 5:00 am here,& it's snowin its balls off.Looks like the only buildin for me today will be snow piles.

I am aware that it's a highlift, I've got one... FGD just seems to fit them neatly, Hence me asking how it's done.

The cross members are new, but will they be available to us?

Ok Thomas,This is how I mount the trany for a king.

There's more to it than just that. You also have to cut off the top of the trany.

You also have to cut the windshield.
Yes, the crossmembers will be for everyone.

If its a simple truck with no sounds and lights you need 2 motors (1 for the truck and 1 for the bed), 2 esc's (1 for the truck motor and 1 for the bed), 2 servos (1 for steering, 1 for shift), a high miliamp 7.2 v battery, and a 4ch radio (1 for the bed, 1 for throttle, 1 for steering, 1 for shift)

Freddy my dream is to be as good as you with the metal one of these days. I really want to learn to do that stuff. I will get a mill and a lathe one of these days, and then teach myself how to use it.

Raiders I rearranged your post. If you put the links one under the other instead of linking them one after the other it makes it easier for members with smaller screens like lap top screens to see the post instead of having to scroll sideways and down to see all of the pics.:cool:

Raider this truck looks awesome, I love the paint and visor. I personally think you should make the bumper match the visor a little more, and go with a big Texas bumper. That bumper is nice if your looking for the stock bling look, we all know that truck isn't going for the stock look. lol nice job on it

Thanks Man! I can't take any credit for the cab & paint work though.
That's all Larrys handy work.That flat black is a Es-sey thing. I still think I shoulda lowered that baby right down close to the ground.Then she would be complete for Larrys preferd ride looks.:cool: Never did understand the ruin the gloss paint job & lower it so it a$$ is draggin on the ground thing. BUT! If Larrys happy!Then so am I!:D
