I am thinking of getting back into 1:14 scale model trucking again but have a problem. It seems that there is very little going on in Southern California as far as events, meets, and just local sharing. While most of my gratification comes from building there is still the sharing that is most enjoyable. Getting back into trucking is going to be a fairly expensive endeavor but to just build and let it sit will certainly play a big factor about getting back in.

I'd like to hear from some of the local Truckers and their experiences. I am in the San Fernando Valley just outside of Los Angeles.

Looking forward to replies.

Welcome to the forum Iran.
I live in San Fernando Valley as well.
Your hunches are correct, it's not as popular compared to european countries, especially construction equipment where I'm mostly into. I do have an idea on what to do once I receive my excavator and articulated dump truck. I can share my thoughts with you over PM.
There are several truckers from socal on this site. They are probably just being shy now.

Hi to both of you guys, I am not shy. Yes I would also like a place to run with other trucks. I am by the LAX airport. There is a group on FB that call themselves 605 truckers, they meet every now and then. I just talked to one of them and he might be setting up something in Gardena soon? Howie.

Hello all

I too would like to join up and possibly get together and expose the hobby more like they do over in the UK, and other countries. I'm in the South Bay (Torrance) I have 2 trucks and counting...
