A few images of what I've been trying to finish the last few years. Illness and finance put this on hold for over 4 years but I'm about to wrap it up soon and start on the Jagdpanther.

Just finished a cover for the box so now I can mount the sternantenne and masts plus some light dusting.

Very nice Jeff! I like your pick of camo scheme.

Thanks guys!

I didn't want to build just another Panther G tank so after 'discovering' the Last Station Steel Wheel version https://www.perthmilitarymodelling.com/reviews/vehicles/dragon/dr6268.htm I did some digging.

I found that there were about 4 different schemes and this one fit my needs. Most were unmarked and rushed to Czechoslovakia for example.

Here's one build that inspired me:

Good job, you're going to weathering?

Oh sure. A light dusting with some dried-up/caked-on mud but nothing crazy.

Got any suggestions?

I like your wheeled projects here! Wish I was that dedicated to building. :D

The weathering on the build you found looks perfect for your model. Not a complete mud and dirt bath but just enough to take the shine off of the tank and not much battle damage.

At this point I have played around with some silvering (the grab handles and some exposed edges) of worn off paint... just to see how that looks before any other weathering process is used. Of course, not pictured here. I don't even have the turret placed correctly in the hull with these shots.

Have a couple of water jerry cans I used 800 grit paper on to knock off the shine then applied a water based grey wash that seems to give it a 'dirty rained on' look but overall it will not have the overdone (in my eyes) excessive rusting & chipping that I see alot.

The mud texturing and dusting right now is my primary concern as these tanks were built in the Spring of '45 and didn't have much exposure to the elements. Kinda like a brand new tank off the line. :D
