I'm very glad they're happy with us coming and getting crumb rubber all over, and driving around the building, and disrupting the peace with our sound units. (What else did the hotel dislike?)

Thanks for organizing this!

Hmm, i wonder if i need a '50s style hotrod...

Just wondering who's heading for the Lebanon, IN Show September 15 and 16 (Friday and Saturday)?

The NW Ohio Gang (Terry (FabOne), Alex (DieselKi, and Cooper (LowBoy) are planning on showing up.

Travis and/or Izzy, when do you plan on setting up? Thursday, the 14th?

I'm going to have to get hotel reservations.

Terry, set up is 15th. Probably mid Morning.

All - we were invited because we drew a crowd at the home show. Come on out and knock the dust off your trucks.

Side note. Bridge is getting a paint job and slight modification to not have standard trucks get hung up. With a new adapter to the conveyor.

I've got something to put before the group that will be at Lebanon in September. A good friend from work is planning to come down Saturday to see our setup as well as the car show. He is very much into drone photography and just did some amazing photos at an all Corvette car show (he'll be driving his 2016 Vette to Lebanon.) He would like to do some photos and video of our equipment in action. I'd like to hear the group's thoughts on this, is anyone good with the idea, is anyone against it? He'll be coming anyway so it's not a problem if the group wishes to pass, I just wanted to get everyone's thoughts. For myself, I trust his abilities and judgement completely. Let's hear your thoughts/concerns etc.

Yep bring it along, 3 of us built a Knight Hauler in 6 hours just goofing around. This will be the first time I won't have anything to build at one of these meets. Can't paint there but you don't need paint to test run a truck. This group inst about the biggest baddest looking truck there it's about getting people involved, having fun and enjoying the hobby know matter what your skill level or what and how your building it.

Last 2 shows were in this one
This is the building we were in last year.
Witham Health Services Pavilion, Lebanon, IN 46052
https://goo.gl/maps/ct2RWimSsdq

8am start to setup fri, play once setup. Probably about the same time for sat.

We've been over on the left side of the building. If they moved us, it's a fairly small building, wander around, you'll hear the truck sound modules.

I'm going to have a crane, truck, van, some trailers, house, tent, maybe set up a carwash...

Relax, ya don't need a body. Just slap a seat and action figure onto it, then it's not weird or out of scale, now you're a truck from the Mad Max world. Or you're just the guy we'll go to for show&tell when people ask mechanical questions about the trucks.

If anybody has laying around, I'm in the market for either a figreli / actuonics L12r-30-210, or L12r-30-100. It's 30 mm throw, high ratio.

THANKS to everyone who did all the work setting up and tearing down I had to work Friday and couldn't make it and played until the end and by the time I got all my stuff packed and into the truck everything was done on the tear down, but my buddy Tyler did help some. I met a lot of great people although I didn't get to meet everyone I was wide open full throttle once I had the first machine up and running! Was a great day.

Thanks mustang, I like photography, and it bugs me when there's a huge event with tons of people having a great time, and only a couple pics of it ever show up, and maybe a video or two that have someone standing in the way. I still have a few more to upload. I'm not trying to slight anyone, i touched my lens at some point, so i have a lot of blurry pics of really cool things.

It was another great show, and i'm glad i got to be a part of it! Thank you all for the work it takes to make this kind of thing happen. You guys rock. You took losing the Indy toy truck show, and got us a bigger, cheaper place that loves having us.

When I started coming to these events, I used to take all kinds of pictures and post them in an effort to get the coverage out there. This particular show I took set up pictures and of those who were some of the first there. By the time I got around to posting them someone else posted better one's of the same thing, which is great since I'm no photographer :lol::lol:. Then Saturday rolled around and I was into driving and checking out all the great new trucks and never took a picture, felt bad but that's how it goes, we need an official photographer! :D:lol::lol:

That would probably be me. (Not really all that old, just rode hard and hung up wet!) Anyhow, took some time to process photos so they would be a reasonable size for up/downloading. Also had to figure out how to use a photo hosting site as I've never used one before.

Thank-you for the information. Unfortunately, the pricetag on one of htem things is a bit outside my budget. It's a mean looking machine. Perhaps, next year, I'll be able to acquire one of them. In the mean time, I've got Bruder's to keep me accupied.

Tim-

Welcome aboard. You found a good forum for assistance. Also it looks like we'll be getting together again at the Boone County Fairgrounds in Lebanon, IN in mid to late January 2018. You can come and join us.

Thank you, I will definitely be there with hopefully a completed truck. I greatly appreciate the invite.

Hi Tim

I am Dean from Knox, IN. I have a Freightliner Cascadia Evolution that I am building. Start a build thread, I'd love to see what you are working on!

Wishing I would have found this section of the forums earlier, beautiful trucks gentleman!! I'm from Valparaiso and am hoping to meet new people locally for advice and knowledge for these trucks as I'm beginning my first build(grand hauler) I have been out of the r/c hobby for years and am now getting back into it with 1/14 scale trucks. If anyone local would be willing to answer the hundreds of questions I have I would be greatly appreciative.
Thanks, Tim

Thanks, I appreciate the compliment. This was my first show where I was also able to drive and I really enjoyed myself. However I probably will not be able to make the next show if it is in January as that is when the Cabin Fever show is going on over the the other Lebanon (PA). As I also do miniature machining I've been going to that show for several years now. Always liked to watch the RC truckers at that show and maybe this year I can play on their big pile of dirt also.

I've taken a few pictures, I just started. 5 inch frame stretch. Just primed my frame . Do I post pictures here, or in another part of this forum?

[QUOTE=Zabco;158209]That would probably be me. (Not really all that old, just rode hard and hung up wet!) Anyhow, took some time to process photos so they would be a reasonable size for up/downloading. Also had to figure out how to use a photo hosting site as I've never used one before.

YES!! that's you! Thanks for all the pics! I just got on and found them it should have notified me when you posted them, but for some reason it didn't.

Glad you liked them. Also have some video but I need to do some major editing as they are very short clips and I have to get some new software.

I used to live in NH in the 90s in Bridgewater near Bristol. Beautiful state, I enjoyed living there.

oh nice! I was born in the capital at Concord Hospital a long time ago! I hauled wood chips to Bridgewater Power Company in 2000 exit 24 off of 93. I own a home on the coast at Hampton Beach since 2014. A little bit of everything here in a tiny state. Can't wait to see your videos.

Has anybody booked hotel rooms in Lebanon, IN for the upcoming Friday, Saturday and Sunday show (Jan. 19, 20 and 21)? If so where?

Terry, I'm at the Econo Lodge, Exit 140, I-65 & Hwy 32. Stayed there last year and was happy with it.
Several other hotels at that exit, also.

Ken, Glad you're going to be at Lebanon. I booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express just behind the Econo Lodge. A little pricey, but I had plenty of points so I just applied those.

See you in a couple of weeks.

I just booked my room for that weekend too. Looks like they'll be "leaving the light on" for 2 nights. :D

Ordered my foam and servo equipment this morning and should get my bearings today for the pinions. That should be fun pressing those in.

I'll see what batteries work tonight.
