Summer of 2016, the lease truck while mine was in the shop for an inframe. In frame tourned in to be a TOTALL engine swap. I guess they SHOULD have listened to me when I told them the engine was making abnormal sounds. Even the mechaninc told them he wasn't sure WTF was going on, but it was indeed making strange noises while driving.

After the first company went out of business,:( I went to work for a different log trucking company. I drove their truck for 3 years. This was the second log truck I was assigned
It was equiped with Eaton Fuller 18 speed transmission, Cat 3406E at 500HP, engine brake, AND a retarder too. I LOVED the jake coupled with that retarder. I rarely, if ever maybe only a couple of times a day had to touch the brakes coming out of the woods. It didn't matter how steep the terrain was, this thing held back really good. It held so good, I'd go out the short way, that nobody else would go, for fear of burning up their brakes. they DIDN'T have retarders on their trucks:p

Mt. Rainier in the distance, we're right near the border to the national park in this shot

Somewhere I've got more. Those are the interesting ones. No matter where we seemed to work at, if there was a soft spot, I have a knack to find it. I'll be the one that gets stuck in that spot! I'll have to try & find those pics. They're ALL of various dump trucks that I ran over the years.

Not stuck in the conventional sense but kind of stuck.....LOL!
I was loading myself with this when this fiasco happens. It broke where the axle had previously been welded. The company was too cheap to replace the axle with a new one. Instead they welded it together, & placed the machine back into service. It lasted a few months, before it broke again. They repaired it AGAIN, & sent it to auction.

This one's stuck real good. I was relieving the operator so he ould get a break. I was told just keep throwing the dirt out to where the other machine can reach it. It took a Cat 400 excavator the better part of half a day to dig this out.

As promised some more 1:1 stuck in the mud pics

This one, the fill site I was running to was 2 hours away from the nearest source of help. We had a D6 dozer on site, but the d@m battery in it was dead! I had to make the call for the mechanic to come help me.

I was backing in, & felt the front end sinking into the mud. Knowing I was the ONLY driver hauling into this fill site, I stepped on the throttle, & got the front end outta the sinking part. When I let off the throttle, & began to stop backing, the rear tires sank.
