I just wanted to post a couple of photos of work in progress of 4 D8K tractors..I hope to outfit them each differently. I am planning a 463 scraper for one, a U dozer for one, a cushion push dozer for another, rippers on three, and a winch one one..two with brush canopies, and two with sound supressing ROPS cabs...Lots of pieces and many more to be made yet..

Thanks for looking in

Jerry

nice models, someone should make an old D8 R/C in big scale, special model with that shape on hood.

Hi Steve abd Dan..

Glad you like the photos..I did get the ripper teeth done today and mounted on the drawbar...Another day, another dollar...

I am posting a link to one of my U-Tube videos featuring an oval track D9..It starts with an old D8 and toward the end the D9 gets a chance...The D9 has to be redone as the dozer operates too slowly..

Hi Neil and Greg...Thanks for stopping by..

Progress is slow, but evenually I will get done...I painted about 25-30 small pieces over the weekend..you know, hoods, cylinders, canopies seats, etc...Things were getting cluttered on the workbench...

Thanks Joe..

We have about a foot of snow and 3 feet of frost in the ground, so dozer work is going to have to wait..I hear it has been pretty cold down your way too ??

Jerry, those are some really nice models. I enjoy seeing the older models - from my "growin' up" years.

Thanks Ken...
I will have to take a photo of what I grew up with back in the 1950s...Not long ago I finished a 1941 D8 pulling a 1937 LeTourneau J-12 scraper...also in 1/24 scale..Good grief, am I getting to be that old...LOL
