Just saw this on a German site. Any one know of a release date or price?

SWEET! When they come out, I think I may try to convert one of those.

Edit: I just found out it's 680mm in length which makes it 1:18 scale since the 1:1 is 12225mm
Too good to be true.

I've already added myself to the waiting list so I'll know as soon as it becomes available.

What waiting list? Do you have a link??

On the page the link takes you to, to the right of the image of the toy, there is the model number and some other things. one of the things says "Notify when availabe." Click on that and put in your email address, they hopefully will notify you when they go on sale.

Found this retailer, lists a price and anticipated release date. November is a log time!

I like it, but I'm NOT liking that price! It's a frigging child's push toy. I'd pay $50-$60 U.S. dollars gladly. The price tag they have listed for it is double what I think it's worth.

It is expensive, but most Bruder stuff is. I can't imagine paying that for a toy to give a kid to play in the dirt with if the kid is as rough as I and my group was, but as far as converting to RC it is really the only option I have if I do a ATD. I cannot afford at all the Magom or other models, so converting a toy is my only choice, and as far as 1/16 scale is concerned there is nothing out there until this becomes available at all, unless it is scratch built, and I'm afraid time and skills are not on my side.So Bruder it is.

I've seen This Type of Pre Release Before and when they land on the shelf the price dropped. My guess is $70.00 +- a few buck. Want this bugger anyway :)

That would make a nice load for the Coastway drop deck trailer I have coming.

26", too short for my needs.

Just going by the information I can find :), and the math does work out to just under 1:18, but the dilemma is still the same - there are no other atds out there that are close to this, and the rc models available are way out of my ability to pay. So 1:16, or 1:18, I'm not going to split hairs. I want an atd, somewhere close to the same scale as my other models, and this is all I can find. I just hate that I have to wait until November.

Thanks, I tried to get it to post the image, but it didn't work out. I saw this on RC Construction on FB, a French page I think. The translation was unclear, but I think it insinuated a March 2019 release. That's a long way off, I hope it meant 2018.

I seen this photo on FaceBook as well and it seems quite large based on the guy holding it but didn’t see all of the size specs. As far as complaining about the cost, the article states the last 2 years have been the best in Bruder history. Gee I wonder why? We all have probably have or have seen someone we know convert these, I’d say a good percentage of their sales are to the R/C world. They are nice models/toys what ever you want to call them. I found where it was listed for about $75 dollars which is close to retail on there larger models. I’m guessing between 50 and $75 from the dealers during the holiday.

The wheels look 4 1/2 to 5 inch diameter (according to my calculations, which means it could be off by at least an inch lol )

Yeah, finally!

You can buy it many places now, Amazon and Ebay included.

I just ordered one. Looking forward to getting it!!

There seems to be multiple conversions already being started. Here is a German guy's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJSpJ3TeKzw

It really is a nice model! A little smaller than I had anticipated, but maybe that's because of the 1/16 scale (vs the 1/14 of the other models).

:) Seeing that next to the other familiar equipment really puts it into perspective the size of that truck. I'm slightly disappointed that it isn't a lil bigger.

BigCATRod
11-09-2018, 06:42 AM
Yeah, in the press release pictures and with the dimensions given I thought it was going to be a bit oversized. Still haven't heard of any for sale in the USA. Getting impatient.......

Noticed this weekend that the Volvo is available and in stock at http://activetoys.com/ I ordered one Sunday, the website says they usually ship within 1 to 2 days of ordering, still haven't heard anything. It is free shipping over $50. I'll keep you posted.

The Volvo arrived today! It is a good model. Ordered Sunday, arrived Friday, free shipping, I am impressed. My only complaint is that in the order confirmation e-mail from Active Toys said Fed Ex would notify me when it shipped and provide a tracking number. Never got that notification.
