WANTED TO SHARE SOME PHOTOS A JOB WE DID ON FRIDAY. WE DISASSEMBLED A HITACHI EX1100 AND MOVED IT FROM DAVENPORT, CA. TO STOCKTON, CA. WE LOADED IT OUT IN 5 LOADS. THE HOUSE, CARBODY AND BOOM WERE LOADED ON A NINE AXLE, THE 2 TRACKS WERE LOADED ON PUP TRAILERS THAT WE PULL BEHIND OUT CRANE TRUCKS, THE COUNTER WEIGHT ON A LOWBOY AND THE ARM AND BUCKET ON A FLATBED. WE HAD A MECHANIC CLEANING AND PREPPING FOR 2 8 HOUR DAYS AND ON FRIDAY WE BROUGHT IN THE EQUIPMENT AND RIGGED IT OUT IN 8.5 HOURS. WE ALSO MOVED A CAT 988 FROM THE SAME JOB. BEFORE WE LOADED IT WE HAD TO USE IT TO PULL THE HOUSE OF THE HITACHI UP SOME 15% GRADES BACK TO THE MAIN ROAD. IT WAS A LOT OF WORK AND A VERY LONG DAY BUT A FUN LEARNING EXPERIENCE.

Really like the multi axle setups. Why did you change tractors, more horsepower or better gears in the Pete for the road. Gotta love those Western Stars though, built tough.

We actually had 2 of our nine axles onsite. One we loaded the Hitachi EX1100 on and the other we loaded the Cat 988. The Western Star has a 625 Cat and the Pete has a 525 cummins. Thanks for looking!
