Hello Guys,

I would like to show you my current project:

Those are some photos of my Tamiya Vovo FH12:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3832656534303630.jpg

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3634386233373865.jpg

A normal, boring, European truck, as one very often sees it in model building meeting. But i wanted however a model which one see not so frequent. I like the American Trucks with its long hoods anyway most of all and thus was born my new project.

First I bought a King Hauler cab with all attachments:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3366376265326231.jpg

The Servos I put lengthwise into the front of the chassis. The front axle was turned, so that the tie rod behind the axle is:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3061323366613263.jpg

I used only the tanks and omitted the entrances, since the chassis is shorter of the Volvo than the chassis of the King Hauler:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3931313833396338.jpg

The fifth wheel was moved also somewhat to the rear and sits now nearly over drive differenzial:

My problem: Where with the accumulator?

For a deep emphasis to reach I built the accumulator lengthwise into the chassis. I removed two tie bars from the chassis and fixes the accumulator with the safety device lever from the "old" accumulator box in the chassis:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3533623863356234.jpg

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_6237396133333936.jpg
Sorry for the bad image quality

The chassis got a cover from Diamond Plate:

The last Picture is´nt up-to-date. I shifted the Diamond Plate a litle to the rear, thus that the Diamond Plate directly in the T-bar turns into.

I have now also an idea for the airbrush topic of the truck:

The cab becomes black and the chassis remains red.

This one go on the backsite of the cab....

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3863343334336536.jpg (http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/3863343334336536.jpg)
...for a big Representation klick on the picture

...and that on the hood:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3030663836356337.jpg

Both pictures are adapted to each other from the style

At present i wait for my Airbrusher to do his paint job. He has many jobs to do at the moment and i meet him Saturday on the Intermodellbau in Dortmund.

So i have time to build some litle accesoires for the cabine:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3636336538363832.jpg

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_6564363362373635.jpg

Ok thats an american Truck and "Tchibo" is a german Company, but i think thats ok - Mc Donalds gives it also in "good old Germany" and i am a coffeejunkie :D

In addition I has trie to copy my good old "Lehnert HS-120" in 1:14,5 (and this with my very big Fingers )

The Original:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_6336626662313333.jpg

...and my "Big Fingers Copy" :D

On a shopping tour my wife found a litle dog and she means that this is a good "Shotgun". Ok i love my girl and so "Lucky" come on my "Shotgun Seat":

Thank´s Cowboy

I found a generator for "License Plates" (http://www.acme.com/licensemaker/) - their you can generate also older licenses - bring it into the correct size - print it - and cover it with clear (self adhesive) foil

....and here is the License for my Truck:

Sorry Guys,

when i have post the link to "LKW Modellbau Berlin" i don´t think about the language of the site (it is in german) and that somebody can´t find the mirror holder there :eek::eek:

So here is the direct link to the productsite:

http://www.1a-shops.eu/cgi-bin/shopserver/shops/s011795/index.cgi?aktion=um&ps=154426&subid=154426

The holders for Wedico Scale are the second Product (from the top) - in Tamiya Scale are the third Product (from the top)

I hope they supply the products also overseas, but i don´t know.

And by the way - i don´t work at "LKW Modellbau Berlin" and also i don´t get money to link the hompage :D:D:D

After my easter holidays, i found some time to build new details:

My selfmade batteriebox on the driversite (to put in main switch and load sockets):

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3838353164373231.jpg

...with folding function:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_6435323266666136.jpg

My pressure air chamber on the shotgunsite. Its from the Volvo FH12 and i spend him a inlet to the brakes ;

Thanks will

Guys i need your help.

Actually i want to paint my cab black with the wolferine airbrush on the backsite:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3863343334336536.jpg

But know i am sitting in front of my Truck and see this red chassic and the nearly white cab. At the moment i have a idea of an oldscool painting like this one:

http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m162/laegers/day%20cab/020-1.jpg

But my coulors are white at the ground and for the tender and the roof darkblue.

And on the backsite this one:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_6337396363623464.jpg

At the moment is the "Texas Outlaw" my favorite, because the rustical style of this fits better to the style of the rig.

but what do you think? "Wolferine" or "Texas Outlaw"?

mazdaparts
04-29-2011, 02:38 PM
The wolverine is cool, but I'd go with the classic rebel flag. I think it will fit the overall theme and style of your truck. Great work by the way. The mirror arms look very realistic.

Yesterday i found some time to work it out..

I don´t have a "Tamiya Cockpit Decal". So i have to build the Cockpit by other Parts and in 3D. I know it isn´t 100% scale - but i like it.

And here are the pictures of the cockpit:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3966623338346161.jpg

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3662313237393263.jpg

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3362616563633238.jpg

The used effekt of the cockpit is intended :D

Also i have paint my cab with primmer to see where i have to do over again with filler

In purchase on painting i decided for the "Texas Outlaw Theme". And here the final design of the "Texas Outlaw Theme":

Thanx John

Today i have paint my cab in white - around to see like the decals (i will make myself) affect to the cab, i made a photo assembly at the PC

and that is the result:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_6465336337376536.jpg

behind the grill then the confederate battle flag comes - this is to be lit up indirectly:

http://foto.arcor-online.net/palb/alben/83/2891883/400_3865363966313430.jpg

and on the backside the "texas outlaw theme"

Last year I was in the hospital more often than at home. Also, I have lost some parts of my fine motor skills - because of my nervous illness.

But I fight against it.

There are some small changes on the Texas Outlaw

I built an air conditioner for the roof and i also started my Race Truck.

Pictures comming soon - my Camera isn´t ready at the moment - sorry!!!
