I don't know squat about lathes other than in the hands of skilled craftsman they can produce awesome items. I found a craigslist ad for a south bend A9 for $1500. Don't know if this is a good price or not either (refer to first line). Here is the link http://semo.craigslist.org/tls/2347062159.html
