RCRoadtrain
09-26-2011, 11:09 PM
I've just been made aware that the 23rd is the 'Convoy for Kids'......

how about Saturday 22nd? anyone cant make it? let me know...

Cossett
09-27-2011, 12:55 AM
Richard it would be better doing it one weekend ether side of Convoy for Kids Sydney that way people that are preparing to go to Convoy for Kids can get prepared for the show and the run and it doesn't take up there whole weekend.................

Cossett
10-21-2011, 12:56 AM
I'd prefer Jimmy Barns - Driving Wheels - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=xvaEJzoaYZk if you have it Adrian :D:D
And maybe some Steve Earle - Copperhead Road - http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=xvaEJzoaYZk:D:D

Cheers Tracy:D:D

RCRoadtrain
10-21-2011, 06:23 PM
And I'd prefer if you just didn't.

the last group (the 'happy joy christian bible group') didn't get their renewal for this site due to noise complaints.

there's going to be about 10 attending, so the noise level will be high enough already.

Little Big Rigs Sydney
10-22-2011, 06:31 AM
I promise i wont bring the music and will play by the rules no problem.

Cheers Everyone.

RCRoadtrain
10-22-2011, 05:36 PM
oh, yeah, while I think of it...

gotta inform all of the 'house rules'..

no smoking or drinking allowed at the site. (we are looking for a better site..)

Little Big Rigs Sydney
10-23-2011, 05:50 AM
I think we are going to need a bigger hall, we can go back to Whallan and use the track and car park but if it rains the days off and if its 30+ degrees were going to cook in the sun.

IMR-620
10-23-2011, 05:52 AM
So doff doff music and burnout are a no no??

IMR-620
10-23-2011, 05:58 AM

Cossett
10-23-2011, 06:13 AM
So doff doff music and burnout are a no no??

IF your taking about Whallan your right in the middle of Westy country so I would say all of the above would be allowed but a change of music would be requied:D:D:D

Cheers Tracy

Little Big Rigs Sydney
10-23-2011, 06:58 AM
Doff doff music I got that too, your falcon will bag up pretty good but that's later Saturday night Lol, Richard ( rcroadtrain) would know if it has ac. It should be a good size hall to start with. At least Saturday will go ahead if its wet which the weather said showers are possible Saturday or if its hot we got shade either way. I think we have 5 that I know and Richard has the same. Going to research a couple of commercial real estate agents to see if we might be able to hire a factory unit for one day I know people who have done it before.

IMR-620
10-23-2011, 08:34 AM
spewin BRO i just hookd up me 6 20inch subs and crossed ova me tweeties wiv 6x9s and brass fittins lol, what up tracy a bit of doff doff music never hert anyone a bit of deafness mabye but yeh you right id have to get out a bit of akadaka or matalica while in westy land.yes we know ya got some of that music to DJASA lol,if we gotta go out west an it 30+ ill be sitting in the car wiv the ac on not under a tree if we can find one.blarrrr blarrrrrr.hey roadtrain the hall got AC or do i bring a fan if its hot hehehe..

RCRoadtrain
10-23-2011, 05:11 PM
at the moment, we have about 10 who say they are coming..

no, the hall doesnt have a/c... it does have very good ventilation, and very good insulation, and nestled behind trees. It doesnt get hot.
best thing is: it has great natural light.

another venue would be good, if someone can find one.
just remember, you'll need to source you own public liability insurance. its included in the rent with this hall.

as far as music's concerned, if its not doing 140, its standing still.
I'm into Happy Hardcore.

IMR-620
10-24-2011, 12:05 AM
There you go DJASA you got any happy hardcore in ya mix.2 radius arms,4 shocks an half a aeromax bumper says u dont lol.

RCRoadtrain
10-24-2011, 12:23 AM

Little Big Rigs Sydney
10-24-2011, 12:55 AM
Hey, listen here IMR-620, "What Happens At The Track Stays At The Track",LOL

No Carniage Please i just couldnt handle it.

Hi Richard i had a majour stuff up at the race track we went to last time, my old man lost control of my knight hauler and i watched him smash it then i smashed my aeromax because i was watching him then broke the front biumper in half. Not Happy Jane.

Little Big Rigs Sydney
10-24-2011, 12:58 AM
Half a bootle of red bull or "v" with two No-doze tablets shake well and skull plus some wild or Ministry of sound and your good to go for another 6 hours trust me.

Little Big Rigs Sydney
10-24-2011, 01:36 AM
All in all it was a great day my dad and I haven't been on a track together in many years plus my step brother was driving one of my trucks which he is new at. We both are very use to watching each other at the track but it just went bad not to worry both trucks are in fantasic shape, I do believe that the bumper getting broken in transit from Florida has made it a little fragile but it's good now and ready for Saturday.

Cossett
10-24-2011, 01:40 AM
For those who missed the pic here's the encore photo (stay clear of truck drivers there 1:1 habits carry down to there rc trucks)LOL:D:D:D

10-24-2011, 02:05 AM

RCRoadtrain
10-24-2011, 05:30 AM
..Ive got one like that on my aeromax...except its the other side..

couple of weeks ago, my daughter had a schoolfriend over, and he drove my 1:18 into it...
rolled my globeliner, too...

Little Big Rigs Sydney
10-25-2011, 07:38 AM
Yeah i think the bumper is weak, i cant blame anyone else except me but i bet you wanted to throttle that school friend Richard.

I shold be right without a bootle of v on the weekend work gone dead again another day off tomorrow with no pay that hurts.

IMR-620
10-27-2011, 09:16 PM
driven down those stairs to the hall is gonna be like going down Mt oozly with out the bends lol. hope you made enought ramps DJASA hehe...

RCRoadtrain
10-27-2011, 10:38 PM
ahh! there's a little trick to that...:D
there's a concrete footpath off the side street thats gently sloping, and in excellent condition.

RCRoadtrain
10-30-2011, 12:58 AM
hmm.. had a great day, met a lot of nice people,
unpacked the car last night,

and..
I seem to be missing one of these:
http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii179/rcroadtrain/1b.jpg
and all the video and photos on it.
also a suction mount, the type that would attach a cam to a windscreen.

I hope its just a case of someone packing it by mistake.

had a great day, finally registered myself into the forum.

was a great fun day :)

Little Big Rigs Sydney
10-30-2011, 06:47 AM
Hi all fantastic day already planning another meet for November. Richard I last saw the camera mounted on the mirror finish box trailer will post on facebook page to see if anyone has seen it.

RCRoadtrain
10-30-2011, 07:22 AM
yep, thats the one, but when the mem card got full I took it off and put the box away.
the mount thats missing was the one the other camera was mounted on...

everything else made it home, as far as I can tell...

IMR-620
10-30-2011, 07:51 AM
so whats gone astray a mount a camera the the thing in the photo or all of the above??an will ya have a chance to check if its still at the hall before anybody else uses it

RCRoadtrain
10-30-2011, 05:08 PM
the thing in the photo is a camera... a Kodak Zx1.
and a suction mount.
http://i264.photobucket.com/albums/ii179/rcroadtrain/mount.jpg

the mount's cheap, I can replace that for about $5. the camera wasnt.

I checked the hall completely before closing the door, and my daughter did the same. we both made certain there was nothing left behind.

its turned a great day into a bummer.

RCRoadtrain
10-30-2011, 09:13 PM
FOUND IT!!!!

Both the camera and the mount were in the bruder box for the fencing and roadmarkers, while the fencing and roadmarkers were stuffed into a bruder container..
being so light I thought it was the roadmarkers... until I put the containers away and heard the rattle...

pays to tidy up a bit. might do that....

now I can process the piccies!!!!! YAY!!!!

Hey richard for the kind folks on http://www.rctruckandconstruction.com can you show us your 20+ trailer roadtrain and you reversing it ????

Cheers Tracy

RCRoadtrain
11-17-2011, 04:08 PM
you know you dont reverse roadtrains, Tracy.

..I was thinking of bringing the trailers, and doing a roadtrain pull.....
...but they wont all fit in the car!! :)

while I'm here: Thanks Tracy and Adrian, for chipping in for the pizzas...it was appreciated by everyone.

RCRoadtrain
11-17-2011, 06:46 PM
one trailer at a time.
you keep adding trailers to the front of the chain one at a time. two if you're really good.

:)

RCRoadtrain
11-19-2011, 04:55 PM
nice clips.. did you read the comments? nearly all said "better you than me"
yes, it can be done.
It needs someone who has experience/skill..
And no, in real life it RARELY happens. One comment on those clips was 'If I caught a driver of mine doing this, I'd fire him.' ..bit harsh, but there you go.

..and yes Tim, I have driven trucks. I've been licensed to drive roadtrains for over 20 years.
Tim, if you know nothing about me.....

Cossett
11-30-2011, 05:21 AM
Just wondering richard if you have pic's of you posing with the roadtrains you have driven over the years like all proud truck drivers do ???

pics? hmm.. bit of a sore subject, that....

I lost my 35mm camera, and all my photos when I broke up with my ex-wife in Perth.
I had about 8 shoeboxes of photos. all gone. breaks my heart when I think of all the money I spent on photos, all the time setting up shots, only to lose the lot.

..as I said, bit of a sore point....

got some digital pics of a HR I was driving for a while (that one was more recent).. but none from my artic days, sorry. there was some good shots, too...

just thinking of those photos make me hate the ex that little bit more.....

Hi Ralph,

not under the 'syd 14 scale' banner,
the meets here are now co-ordinated by Adrian as 'Tamiya RC Semi Trucks NSW' on facebook.
http://www.facebook.com/tamiyarcsemitrucksnsw

We now meet monthly (roughly, work commitments sometimes vary the date) at St Clair.

Cheers,
Richard
