I picked this up today instead of the dozer I had ordered. I also liked the idea of a loader so with this I get some of both in one machine. I also ended up with some extra $ to play with.:D

Cool, Travis. Is that a Stahl model? I've really been wanting a loader too. I keep going back and forth on it. I want to buy one, but I have a hard time spending the money right now. It makes me want to sell off all my other non mini trucking RCs, so I can raise some funds!

This is a stahl loader and it was put together like this when I bought it on friday at the Indy toy truck and construction show at the Wyndham hotel. The only thing I have done so far is take out the airtronics radio and instal a spectrum. I will try and get a vid as soon as I can but here are some more pics of the loader on my new carson drop deck.

Travis, I have video of you running the track loader at Indy. Have never posted a video before, so may take a few days to get it figured out.

Thanks for letting me operate your rig this and appreciate the hobby discussions. I keep learning by watching and listening.

Thanks!

I stopped to get a little dirt for dad’s new garden and my buddy who has an excavation business filled my pickup so good thing it's an F350 with extra springs. So this gave me a place to play with the loader today I made a video but it was going to take up 1/3 of my photo bucket so you guys will have to settle for some pics.

First I had to break up some of the big clods so here is my pulverizer.:D

Thanks joe it is definatly different operating a toy from out side rather than being in the cab of a real one.

Awesome tracked loader!

Thanks Scott I took some advice and added weight to it but as I started runnig the loader I leaned real quick to put the added weight to the front of the machine if you put weight in the rear it makes the loder tip backward even going up a small incline.

Nice Travis. Do you find it runs smoother and cuts better with something in the bucket, I know that make a world of difference when running a 963 or 953.

Well the loader is painted now. I had one of our members (IZZY) paint it. Here are some pics.

I have also ordered a new speed controller as this is the one down fall I have found with the model it causes the loader to track really slow. I thought it might be because they run the pump motor from the ESC so I unhooked the pump and the speed didn't change. So I am not real sure why they did it that way. I also found that at full speed it will speed up the motor opposite the direction off a turn so the model is capable of going faster. the ESC also requires that it have directional (forward or reverse) input to turn it won't do a 360 deg turn by just moving the stick left or right. I plan to put in the new ESC and wire the pump motor and lights to a double battle switch this way I can turn them off when you want to take a break or conserve battery.

Thanks Lynn and yes Izzy did a fantastic job I am very happy. It got a little dirty this weekend but I gave up playing with it till I get the new ESC it is just to slow. Compared to a stall dozer it is about half speed.

That looks great Travis! (thumbs up too Izzy)

Are you gonna decal it with any brand name or company name?

I've noticed that too with the kit supplied dual esc, they're really finicky to mess with to get full power out of them. I prefer the way it works though as compared to say the Sabertooth, easier to control.

We are trying to make some 963 CAT decals. It wont exactly right but I will be happy. Is there a way to program the kit supplied ESC to the radio. I ordered a sabertooth because I liked how it works in my CAT tractor. Using the dip switches you can change how the sabertooth reacts to the radio.

I got the new ESC in and it works much better. The loader drives much smother and faster and with the pump on a battle switch (fail safed to the off pos) the receiver links almost instantly now.:D Thanks to Lil giant I now have a manual for the original ESC and I plan to use it in a new project.

Thanks Henry and thank Sandy for running the camera. Well I went out side and played in the cold wet dirt but it worked just fine. I guess it would be better if I had some rubber or dry broken up dirt in the house but I will have to settle for the flower bed.

I ran my loader to day with rcguy farms (Scott) and tc1cat (Lynn) in the little flower garden and it ran great I am very happy now. We also ran the Scott's dozer and excavator both of them worked well too. I was real impressed with Scott's excavator, now the dirt is good top soil and not packed hard but he was digging with his big loading bucket he built for the rubber and it handled the dirt real good.
