Well, I don't have any QC posts, but usually on bigger stuff like that I check between MSC, US shop tools and look for stores on ebay selling new ones.

thanks a bunch spent a day on the phone And I'm gettin closer :)
I gave up on KBC a few years ago after orders placed over phone and things were put on backorder without notifying me (happened several times). Was always something that I needed the next day too.
If you want more places to look....

If your trying to price out tooling up a lathe with things like 1" shank turning tools, be sure and talk to local Ingersoll cutting tools rep as they sometimes have deals like buy a box of 10 inserts get toolholder for free. I have some Ingersol stuff around but have started using more Sandvik as there is a tool guy local to me that I can have come out to shop if I'm having problems running something. Downside is Sandvik doesn't do pkg deals that I have seen.

I'll look local to , If i get this 1 I'll need the holders that go on the turret . it comes with 4 boring bar holders . I need the cut off and some facing and inserts are a must I got tired of reseting a tool after sharpening . the turret is new to me but I can see the advantage a tool changer would be nice on the mill also but , I'll get over till I shoot for a vmc . chips and coolant all over the shop :eek:makes a mess real quick  My z servo drive will be here on monday :D I'm in the shop the rest of the week do to schedule conflict

Man I wish I knew enough about engineering to know what you guys are talking about. Machine shops fascinate me but to me a dorian turret sounds like something you'd find on a sherman tank!
