Just getting some ideas. This is not the first time this truck has been together then taken apart and started over. Going to be buying some new stock chassis parts (cross members, diff cases etc.), because I'm changing colors and ideas, I want a clean slate.

I'm not much good at body work. I look at the photos of your guy's trucks and get discouraged pretty easy.

I'm still not 100% sure if I will build it a daycab with stock wheelbase or go some what longer than stock (around 25") and a Wideco sleeper but I'm leaning toward the later.

Looks good already, and I can't help but notice you've got a nice collection of Ertls to boot. I'd like to add a Precision series IH 1206 to my collection, like you have, but right now they are bringing a good chunk of change!

Thanks! I try to keep up with the red IH precision as they come out, I'm a little behind. Sometimes you make out buying them when they come out and some times it goes the other way. I paid $180.00 for the Tri-Stripe 1086 2 years ago, Binkley & Hurst has them for $129.00 now.http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm186/C-Claus/july007.jpg

Did you see Ertl is releasing the Precision 5488 for Christmas?

Does Espeefan refer to the Southern Pacific?http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm186/C-Claus/july011.jpg

Hey Claus,

Espeefan sure does refer to the Southern Pacific's report marks, SP. :D Common to see SP spelled out Espee by those who like it. Probably my favorite RR. To bad the UP bought it out. I also am a huge Santa Fe and Rio Grande fan, also fallen flags now.

What scale do you model in? Looks like O scale. Like those Atlas? GP60s! :D

My Precision collection consists of the IH 1066 white and black stripe tractors, the 1086 white stripe, and the 3688 2+2. I cannot wait for the 5488! Been begging for one of those for years! I guess we share similar interests.
