Umm, what sort of connections are on the battery?

The picture in the link does not show the connection plug!

The battery does not come with connectors.
Many people use Dean's connectors. They are good for high current and are polarized. See link at tower hobbies.

Astro Zero loss connectors are also very good but expensive.

OH, and of course the cheepo, non-reliable Tamiya connectors.

Sorry fellows for the bad picture(without the connector).

Here is a picture with the connector my batteries have on them:

http://www.hobbypartz.com/98p-25c-4000-2s1p-hardcase.html

The closest i can describe them as being is a twin barrel plug with like a male and female banana. idk on the page it calls it a 4.0 banana plug.

Thanks again for helping me guys!

well the description calls em banana 4.0 plugs. so i googled banana 4.0 adapter for chargers and heres the result.

Thanks, I tired doing some digging on that site for what you found and had no luck, i guess i needed another pair of eyes. I noticed they are out of stock, so I'm thinking ill just splice my new batteries and put a more readily advailable connector on them.

Also I'm going to be wiring up my intergy 55t motor soon and need some wired and have no idea what type of wire i need that will be safe.

Thanks

That's a LiPo pack. It should have two plugs on it. A balancing tap plug and the main plug used for the heavy current draw. The pictures on that site are quite mis-leading. You cannot tell what plugs are on there, and they certainly aren't any I have ever seen before. Especially that balancing tap plug. Something tells me it should have more then just two wires going to it as well. A 2S LiPo should have at least 3 wires going to the balancing tap plug. Strange. Well in anycase, if you are looking for main battery plugs, and you intend to run this in an E-Maxx, then use the new Traxxas high current battery plugs. Can't help you with the balancing tap plugs. There are a lot out there. Depends what charger and balancer you have. You need a balancer, by the way. It's required for LiPos. I'm not a LiPo guy myself, but there is some good info on the net to help you out.

For the wires going to a 55T motor, you can get away with some pretty light wire, but I'd stick to 12 gauge. It's good for just about everything.

Thanks for the info, i already have a electri-fly lipo charger the balancing plug fit the ones sent with the charger. I bought some deans ultra plugs to use, are they not considered high current plugs?

Thanks again, Jordan

Deans are definitely considered high current plugs. Probably the best you can get. There are some knock-offs being made and sold on E-Bay now and then. Traxxas's plugs are also pretty nice. A little easier to solder and assemble. They work just as well as the Deans plugs, but are a little bigger. I'm a Deans guy myself, and run them on all my models. The only thing about Deans plugs is sometimes it's tough soldering the 12 gauge and up wires onto the tabs, because they are so close together. You'll get it with practice, but don't expect the first one you do to be perfect, unless you've got some luck on your side and previous soldering experience. Now and then I still mess up a plug, and I've been doing it for years.

Traxxas plugs are so much easier. The terminal pins are soldered to the wire first, and then the pins are inserted into the plug. No melting of the plug, and plenty of room to solder the wires to the terminal pins.

Please see photo..

I installed a 2c novak smart stop on my emaxx, I tied it in with the battery leads coming from the esc, when i connect the last connection(the 3 pin plug coming from the esc into the smart stop, as soon as the pins touch it starts smoking...but from what I've read on some traxxas forums i have it installed the same way as others and theres work just fine, could it be a faulty smart stop? or did i overlook something obvious?

Thanks Jordan

Yes you did over look some thing. You have 2 2cell batteries and you just hooked a 2cell lipo stop to 4 cells.

Ok guys I really appreciate your help! I'm going to buy a 4c smart stop. The reason i went with the 2c originally is because on another forum someone mention the batteries being wired separately so just one 2c would work, ill replace it with the 4c and let you guys know the verdict.
