We had a 1135 on the farm for a while. That tractor was awesome. We had a cabless model with the 6cyl not the V8. Went through a lot of orbital valves and made a quick release system for the steering column. It burned so much oil we never bothered changing oil just filters. You could always find that tractor in the field, just look for the black smoke hanging in the air.

Nice conversion, can wait to see it finished.

Some progress for today...
A friend made two hubs for the rear end (Thanks Martin!!). The ball bearing on the bush of the output shaft allows higher radial forces and increases the service life...

Awesome work Frank! I've never been a Massey guy but that's really nice. It was the 1155 that pushed IH to build the 1468 and 1568.

Your brass work is very nice.

Frank that is great!! Is the rear housing and 3pt. hitch from Blocher or did you build everything yourself? Again, awesome job!

Hi Craig!
The rear end is completely built from scratch, but the dimensions are very close to the Blocher parts.
Here are some pictures of the housing:

Nicely done!

I'm currently trying to convert a MF690 as my first conversion. Learning lots!

Always liked MF tractors, my father had a 255, and my uncle a 265 and 285.

Frank, thanks for sharing this build. I know it's been completed for a while, but I just checked your thread out now. Your conversion turned out very nice. I like the extra details you added. Injector lines, glass in the cab, lights, 3 point hitch, and with all the metal work you did to make it an RC model, painted and finished, it looks very sharp. At first glance one couldn't guess that it is a converted, fully functional model. I like it. Great idea with the larger hub bearings on the ends of the gear motors, by the way!
