Well i bought some Styrene and some body filler the other day and i decided to try my hand at making a tool box for my flatbed trailer.. so here are some pics of what i got done tonight....

Started gluing the dang thing together and it would not cooperate what so ever....

After the glue dried i was finally able to see if i screwed it up but luck was on my side and all was good..

Then i started with the body filler.... Lets just say its my first time lol Maybe some of you guys can help me out with this.... ill sand it tomorrow and see what happens

I sanded the body filler off which took... Forever!! I also started and finished painting the box and started on how im going to attach it to the trailer... here are some pics...

Is that squadron? Avoid that stuff it shrinks and cracks. You should get your styrene joints as tight as possible. It looks like you have square backer rod in there so if you were to sand through the sheet to get the rounded corner look you want you would be exposing/shaping the rod behind. Interesting use of whatever building kit the support is, but you might just make that out of styrene too, it comes in a lot of profile shapes.

Thanks i used photobucket to post them.. and yes thats squadron ive never used body filler before so when i run out or make another order ill get something else.. The support kit is made from k'nex i had them laying around and there is no LHS around so i have to order everything so i didnt really want to wait on anymore styrene

Finished painting and was able to get it all put together.... not super happy with how it came out but its alot better than my last tool box so maybe after i make another 10-15 ill have something worth looking at haha here are some pics....
