I figured i would challenge myself again and make some cb antennas for my girl and i think i didn't do too bad on them.

This is what i started with 2, 1/25 rear axles from and old kit i had.

These are the antennas i have on truck now

I then did the measuring with the other antenna and the pin in the end of cut my 2 metal axles to fit.

Once cut and fitted i wrapped telephone wire aound the axle with the coating on it first, but found it was easier without the insulation on it just use the bare wire.

After wrapping the wire i used 3/32" Tech-Tron Heat Shrink Tubing TT100 3/32" Blu to cover it and a lighter to shrink it and here are the results.

I made these to see if i could do it cause i like to challenge myself on certain things. PMD'S antenna's are way better than mine. I didn't post this to cause any flame wars or to knock PMD'S antenna's. PMD does far better work than i do and i stand behind PMD'S aftermarket part's cause what they sell is just great!!!!:D

Thank You everyone,:D:D I guess it's my fault i worry too much cause i don't want to do anything wrong, it's something i need to work on. I am glad i was able to share the antennas with everyone, and i do apologize to everyone, for being such a worrier.

Hi Mike, I don't want to hi jack your thread but I think this would be the best place for it. Evolution of that cb antenna
I got a early xmass present to day witch meant I could start on the mirrors for my rig so I did some evolving of your aerial and Ausiie/ 540-MAN's aerial,
I used spring wire same as (Ausiie/ 540-MAN's ), and twisted some thin electric wire down it and than wrap it around the top of the mirror bracket so I can feed it into a small hole above the door on my rig, then used some heat shrink over the top (Mike), I then used some chrome vinyl over the top of the mirrors for a better reflection...
