Ok working on finishing another wood creation. This one is looking pretty old school AutoCar but I am not sure I am looking for Ideas on Tanks/Stacks and Paint or do you think it looks closer to some other brand..

Lets here the Ideas. I will not be changing anything that is already done just need to finish what is not there and paint it for the family..

Here is what we have to work with..

Just as a suggestion, you might consider foil tape that is used to seal airconditiong duct. It can be found in any hardware store...Be sure to have a near perfect base because it is thin and will show every bump..
Good luck

It seemed to me you were looking for a way to finish the fuel tanks and exhaust stacks, since that type of paint was mentioned..

No I dont have the paint for the truck yet that is what I am looking for ideas on also what people thank of tank size and what style of stacks I have my ideas just looking for others..

I do plane on using the foil on the tanks grill and stacks like I did on the fire truck body it comes out pretty good and wood is easy to get smooth and clean..

I think you should go with a singe factory looking stack and dual square fuel tanks that look like steel painted black and paint the frame black and the cab burnt orange with white fenders and put some bumper guides on it and paint some holes in those wheels so it will look like and oil field used every day auto car! Just what I see in my twisted mind

Shane I like this IDEA a lot!! Would you maybe have any picks of a truck like that now so much for color but for the stack and tanks so when i make them out of wood I have something to go by..

Hey gun, do you mean tank's, like what came on the L serie's Ford's and some of the Mack's?

I would go as a single stacker with the standard short dual hiway tanks.
