Yep the title is right but I do like this jeep. I have been working on this on and off for a couple of years now it is a good buddy of mine and he has put alot into it it is a really good little crawler..

So I have built the stock axles then changed both axles in it with him put in the Uni Body stiffeners on it it has a 6 inch super flex lift with the 3 member and long arm conversion on it it is now running 35 inch rubber so now it is time for new bumpers and body panel mods so here are some picks of the rear panel mods..

So opened the wheel wells 6 inches so now we have to get the inner fender well and rear panel back together. So to do this I welded 3/8 rod on the panel then welded the inner fender well to that..

Now had to redo the lower part of the rear panel now this he does not want to come down strength like when it was stock he wants this angled back up and also made out of thicker metal. Now for the metal I went with 10ga.

Now with the inner panel using the break to make the bends to match.

Now with the outer panel..

And with the 3/8 rod covering the end and all welded in..

He is getting ready for another trip in 3 weeks so next weekend Ill finish the welding on the passenger side that finish all the driver side and then a little body work and bed liner..

lookin good Paul.i just got done doing a rocker conversion on a 98 for a guy.i took 2x4 steel tube and welded in for rockers.its easy to do and boy did it turn out strong.we went out and did some rock climbing and bounced off the rockers a few times and she held up great.before that he said he would cave the rockers in and spring the body.
it didnt move a bit this time

Yeah the rock sliders are a must on these uni body jeeps if you lookin gthe first pick you can see the corner of the ones I built they to are 2x4x1/4 they are under the rocker and tied into the rocker and the uni body stiffener makes a huge difference.

I would like to see that.. I might have to get the plaz out and start over it does not need the clearance but it would not hurt.. I am going to finish the rears up sat and get the bumper painted and installed and then I have a 14 point cage he order today that will be here next week..

SO been really busy the last 2 weeks with football play offs and we go to state this week for the big show so soon I will have more time to build Rc's and jeeps here soon..

So here is the up date on the passenger side of the jeep and some on the drivers side.. On the passenger side we did a little bit of body work on the rear wheel well and then taped up the sides and got the bed liner gun out and sprayed the side of the jeep.
