Here is a truck my dad did for me. I bought this with my money I saved up and my dad put radio gear in it to make it run better and then we redid the paint and added a Tamiya cow killer on it.

Great job. That truck looks like some of the military tankers that are at a National Guard maintenance garage near my house.

Got a picture of the box to know what to look for? How is the quality? Anything to look out for?

Oh, by the way, nice looking (and great job) enough for me to break out the OD. :D

Well I can tell you that you dont want to wast your time looking for one. They are junk the body is not bad but the running gear is junk. They are better after you put in better servo and esc and radio but not by much. They are great for a first truck for a kid like what we did here but not for long as they wont tow much. As I type this, this truck is now tore down and and we are putting the body on a 6x6 frame and there is no sleeper left..

Aahhhh, thanks for the scoop! I think I'll just get some 1/10 scale RTR's and see how I like construction equipment before I take the plunge. :p

That is one mean looking rig. I really like it. Great satin finish. On one hand, I love lots of chrome on trucks, on the other, I love when they are COMPLETELY de-chromed, military style, just flat green and black.

Thanks a lot there Swagger.. It is a nice looking little rig but it is in the line up for a major over haul.. My son is now 12 and wants to redo it and he is big into semis and the armed forces and he wants to build it to a full blown 6x6 Army truck so it will be getting a real frame and axles tranny and transfer case going to run the RC4WD alum hummer bead locks with mud pluggers on them we have 90% of the parts ready to go for the build just waiting on a proto type walking Beam set up for the rear and it will be good to go so here in the next 2 weeks look for a rebuild thread of the truck..

Nice truck, I really like the paint job-very realistic looking. I think paint jobs are always the hardest to get right.
