Well with the truck goes the trailer so here goes the hacking of 2 new bruder drop decks and turning them into a sort of HET looking trailer to haul are tank with..

So 2 new trailer..

First 2 cuts the tape gives me a stright line to follow..

Next onto the 2nd trailer one cut.

Then one more to shorten the deck.

Then all 3 back together but I have to reconnect the bracing still but here is how it looks.

Now since the truck is a 1 5/8 taller than a stock semi I need to make a new neck for the trailer. I am going with the set up the HET M1000 has with a bending point at the front of the trailer that the neck hooks too. Also the neck will be made out of 1/2 plastic sheet..

More tomorrow if I get a new band saw blade

Thanks Much for looking..

Looks good so far , are you going to make the wheels steerable?

If you need a drawing of the goose neck send me a pm.

Carl

Paul what is the drive train in this truck like? Are you going to be re powering it? Would be a good rig to put those brass helical gears in.

Thanks Much guys for the great comments..

Claus I am not a big fan of them Brass gears I have them in my oil field truck they are a pain in the arse to get set up and then they still shift hard and they are noise and I have a ton of good old JD black grease in there that helped it to shift better and got rid of some of the noise but not enuff. I have one more tranny built with them and I have not used it yet just not real happy with them..

We are running a stock trans with a Wheely King T-case..

In his first post it mentions what they are: Bruder drop deck trailers. Check out www.Brudertoys.com

Well with the truck goes the trailer so here goes the hacking of 2 "BRUDER DROP DECKS" and turning them into a sort of HET looking trailer to haul are tank with..

What a great idea for a project! Too bad I already spent $300.00 on a new controller to return to racing or I would have jumped on a truck with this in mind.

Can't wait to see more!
