I just signed up for that group !
Since you are a member of them , would you give your moderator a hint that I am not a scammer or spammer ?
Since it takes an approval

thanks

Wow. There are other trains that are about the same size too. Live steamers. Or gasoline powered diesel models. Usually in this scale, you can actually ride on them!

here is a typical "play-action" when I combine trucks and trains :

CustomRCmodels - GardenRailRoad | home (http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/index.htm)
http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/1x1.gif
http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/1x1.gif http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/0410e0e0.png (http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/german_military_train_projec.htm) http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/1x1.gif http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/0430e0e0.png (http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/index.htm)

working on the railroad
http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/1x1.gif
damages to some of my track called for a night-repair-action !
http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/23964710.gif

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/5f020580.jpg

some of the curved and even the straight section of my previous layout

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/5fa20020.jpg (http://www.customrcmodels.com/Events2008/bog_a_rama_may_2008.htm)
( the curved section behind the large loco-shed and the straight one behind the ware-house )
( click on the image to see more .... )

had been damaged over time .....

....... looking like a roller-coaster !

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/5fc20f70.jpg

you wonder how this happened ?
well , first the "lady of the house" thinks she can "practice" curb-parking ,
then a fascinated kid had to grab the tracks and pull them out of there gravel-bed ,
which made one of my neighbors ( not lifting his feet ) struggle right over it
and then "mama" thought she had to "flatten" them "again" with the car ....
which obviously just made it worse....LOL..

so it was time to redesigned the layout and call in the work-force !

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/5fd20580.jpg

the old track is being removed and the last new section just gets installed !

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/5fe20580.jpg

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/5ff20580.jpg

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/60220f90.jpg

here you can see the layout change :
off-set added after switch and the large 90 turn is separated in 2x large 45's
with a short straight section as rail-road-crossing for the trucks

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/60436840.jpg

ok , all done , rest of the junk being removed and all equipment loaded up ....

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/6052a1c0.jpg

let's hit the road back home ! time for a few cold ones !

or should I have said : " hit the track " ...?

all the work can't be done without "proper" supervision

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/608fa480.jpg http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/60a38470.jpg

the newest member of the neighborhood was watching everything and had to take his first inspection

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/60c20410.jpg

" no cat-food on the rail-road-car ? boomer " ....

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/60e5c040.jpg http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/6109b040.jpg

" Halt - Stop ! ........... something squeaks ? ... when was the last overhaul on this thing " ?

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/61220440.jpg

alright , kitty is going home , tracks are clear ..........

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/61320e80.jpg
( finished layout change ! )

http://www.customrcmodels.com/Gardenrailroad/61520400.jpg

.........and first test-run was done without any derailments !

Thanks for the nice comments and links guys !
And sure , if anybody wants to come and play , just let me know !

I am doing my own events once and so often ,
We call them BOG-A-Rama’s ( check it out ) (http://customrcmodels.com/Events/bog_a_ramas.htm)
http://customrcmodels.com/Events/fa1201e0.jpg (http://customrcmodels.com/Events/bog_a_ramas.htm)
the newest stuff is not posted yet , but it will give you an idea !

And yes , that is my driveway !
Nothing to laugh about that one , that was some serious stuff to deal with !
I had to listen to a lot of complains from my wife till she got used to it that our cars have to park in the yard since the toys are now in the garage and the driveway , ha !

I am still blaming here for my rail-road-damage ( see previous post ) (http://rctruckandconstruction.com/showpost.php?p=3958&postcount=5), since I am sure she did that on purpose trying to convince me that the rail-road has to go !

But I won that war ! yeeehaaa
