Hi guys! I am having issues. I have a VG 6000 radio. Is it possible to mix a channel for my hydro pump, say ch5 or 6 with my stick for boom controls. I want to do this so the pump only runs when it is needed.

Thanks!

What does the instructions say Brian? :D

Look for ch mixing.

In the set up menu of the radio, Master would be the valve & Slave is the pump.

I'm not familiar with Airtronic radios, but we can figure it out together at the show this wkend, bring your instruction manual. ;)

You have an esc on your hyd pump, correct?

TRUE DAT!!! I hate the airtronics radio manuals... they just assume you have the radio on an airplane! I guess maybe we're at fault, but hey, they don't have a groundtronics division yet :D

I am not certain abouit the VG6, but i think the rds8000 does, i will check mine and see. I am for certain that the 10g does.......that is how i run my grader hydros.

Brian, I looked at the online manual for the VG 6000 radio and it doesn't look like it has any programmable mixes.

You would need a"mix1" and "mix2" for you loader one for bucket and one for lift.

For example:

mix1 would be throttle lift (master) to channel aux1 pump (slave)

mix2 would be rudder bucket (master) to channel aux1 pump (slave)

So, the radio needs a programmable mix for each radio lever that moves hydraulics.

Spektrum dx7, dx8, JR9303, JR9503 & JR 10x for example have 3 or more programmable mixes.

No Scott. Joe looked at it and Scott came up with it not working with this radio. I have made some calls to robot market place and some other sources for a external (mixer) but it looks like I need a different radio:(

I would thinksomebody with an electrical background could make a simple external mixer. Several pass through circuits for valve control and one PWM output to drive the pump ESC. I don't think it sounds terribly hard, but my electrical knowledge is limited. As i understand it the PCB and assembly would be the most expensive parts. I'd purchace such a thing as a kit...

Hey Brian, on the liemback site http://www.leimbach-modellbau.de/ look on the navigation bar on the left, go down and click Electrnikerwieterung and it's Bestell-Nr.:1145 I think this is the pump controller that I saw a while back. Google translate isn't working for me today, and I can't link the page either. $59.00 euro? Not much help-but trying! Later, Neil.

Hey Frank, can you please help with translation? Thank's............

looks like an expansion part for the extra hydro functions to tie into the wedico electrical system.

Well guys I just spoke with a company this afternoon expressing my concerns for such an item, and they are going to send me a prototype unit to try out. I'll keep you posted to see how it works.
