Hello again fellas! Still working on my Knight Hauler, going great, have most of the wiring done, and waiting for my body to come out of paint to finish wiring lights on the cab. Have the MFU, motorized trailer legs, and a Futaba T4YF-2.4 transmitter. The question is, (and I know I will feel like a tool after I get the probably simple answer) I have everything hooked up per the directions, and switched it after I read something on here about hooking up the MFU to the radio. Now my steering is on the throttle (which is notched), and everything works fine....EXCEPT that the gear shifting is still on a spring loaded lever, the left stick, and the tranny just stays in the middle gear. When I switch gears, it goes back to the middle gear. It seems like it would make sense to put it on the notched channel, also on the left stick, so it will stay in the gear you put it in, but that is not what anything I have read says. Am I missing something here? Thanks, and will post some pics soon.

Second gear is the default buy putting it on a spring loaded stick and you must hold it in first or third. I put my servo on a 3 pos switch and lave the MFU lead on a spring loaded channel so you can still operate the MFU like it is described in the manual. By doing this it also allows me to put the truck in first gear with the switch, and choose third gear on the stick giving me full power in first. The MFU has three levels of power that is applied to the motor depending on which gear it is in. I also loop the coupler switch so I have full power with out a trailer on and by doing that I give up the coupler sound but that doesn't bother me.

Thanks for the info. Will have to get used to holding it in first gear. I shoulda put a crawler motor in the darn thing when I had the chance.....
