Steve do you ever take your batt out and leave it out for ten min. Or so ? If you do the phone will re boot its self !

Steve if you switch to an iPhone you would also have a really decent camera too not to mention the best phone out there IMO.

Ok, My I-Phone is in an OtterBox case, it's 2 year's old and has held up as well as those Casino geezone's, hit the pavement a few time's-OUCH! Win lose or draw, I will buy another one. Anytime a phone last's more than 2 year's, it's on borrowed time!
Cheer's, Neil.

P.S. No I haven't tried running it over with a trackhoe yet,LOL:eek::eek::eek:

My I-phone has been dropped so many times and rocks out with no issues at all. I have an otterbox case for it and it takes a licking. I even dropped it while it was out of its case and shattered the rear glass, i put it back in the case broken and am still using it without a problem. Hands down it smokes the crack berry in durability and just plain old usage less issues etc

well the I phone is nice But I'm going to be cheap on this 1 :o for what they cost I have more important things to get 1st . I still have my old motorola fliper that went threw a couple of walls in high stress times  that still works . I just get dropped calls from time to time (nexttime :p) my wife and I use the 2 way alot since she dosen't need to call alot of long distance and her phone is more of an emergancy thing I will not go back to verizon wireless either  they seem to think they own you enough to jack the rate when the he!! they feel like it . ditched them 10 years ago ;) although they still got 1 finger on my azz yet :( only internet service available to me yet :(

Oh hi matt , yea I still have the little batt that came with the phone . 1 of my customers gave me a link to getting the bigger batt .

I am with you about Verizon! Their "Can you hear me?" ads are bull____. Even though I only use my phone for emergencies, I shut my phone off when I walk thru the door at work. Absolutely no signal in the building. Very nice if there would be an emergency!! Guys with AT&T have no problems at all in building. Verizon contract ends Sunday:D:D Looks like new phone time:eek: Only problem is that I get a break on my bill with Verizon thru work:confused: Don't know what my actual bill would be without the discount.

My last crackberry makes a great alarm clock in its cradle. It is real hard to hit snooze so it makes you wake up in the am.

I have T-Mobile with an old Samsung Stripe. I've dropped it, run it over with my 400+lbs. wheelchair, and even gotten angry & thrown across the room into the wall. It just takes a beating and goes.. Works for me :D  :D :) :D

I have an older 2G blackberry and have never had any problems, get service where others don't etc.. My daughter on the other hand has had many with her newer version bb. Same issues as you were having, resetting on it's own, whenever it wants, etc..The phone isn't even a year old yet. From what I'm reading if she gets a new, bigger battery it should fix the problem?

I still rock the BB Bold 9930, touchscreen and full keyboard. Work provided (we only use BB) and I like no bill of my own so I can't complain. :D

i think they make things to break after a certain time so you have to buy new stuff. have a htc evo sprint phone and after 6 months the battery wouldnt last but 4 hours. was going to buy a new batt for 50 bucks and found a batt optimizer app and now my batt lasts all day long!

Thanks for the smile guys...

That sh*t-he*d nephew of mine had one from work, and was always breaking it, or it would reset and lose his directory. I'd tell him to change providers, and make backups, and suddenly he's singing its praises. (*never was too bright*)

Me, I bought a Samsung r351 Link ($70) to replace my brick so I could text w/o hitting keys multiple times, and I'm ~still~ using it 4 years later. Heck, think I'm grandfathered into VirginMobile.ca's system. I bought a no-name clearcase at Radio Shack (now TheSource) and its saved my phone MANY times, case will pop apart, softening the blow to the phone. And its ~still~ on the original battery too - trick is to put it on charge the moment you loose that first bar for the battery.

I keep it mainly for emergencies, or calls when I'm out & about, so medics, parents, and such can get hold of me, but not much more. No Google, eBay, road directions, etc. It also means I don't havta 'rent' a phone in hospital ($40 plus for a week? Stuff that!)

As for Crackberries, NEVAH! I put the RiM 'sync' s/w on my computer, and it was like a bloody virus. Took me a week to get it all back off. And sorry guys, I HATE Apple too, so no i-Crap, not even to run one of the Drones.

I can get by with a ~semi~intelligent phone, thank the maker. Camera isn't bad, MP3 is tolerable (my 5y/o Sony Walkman needs a booster-battery, but otherwise runs fine) and the longer it lasts, the more $ I'm not tossing for a new one. Glitz? Thats for the nephew (and he PAYS for it)

well this phone is my bizz line and I explain very well (my way  ) to the provider that it needs to work or -------------------- ;) well they got me fixed up with a "mini tower" that hooks to my Internet till they get the towers switched around . Well all good and dandy IF I had a F'N DECENT INTERNET PROVIDER :mad::mad: The 1 I have basically has a monopoly up here with out any TV cable they're all I got :( every time you bend over they got ya:eek: :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

What app is that? I have the same phone with the same battery issue.

For a second there, I thought ya said " Whats an app? "

As for apps, oy! The one app I want for my phone, you can't ~get~ for my phone. I wanted a simple Solitaire game that I could play while I was in the waiting room for my doc appointments. Nope, not available. And I'm not buying a $200+ ~phone~ just to be able to play solitaire.

Then again, mebbe an old second-hand Nintendo DS would do me. My older sis has two munchkins addicted, mebbe I can wait until one upgrades then 'absorb' the old hardware (being the family tech and all)

I mean come on, its a PHONE... not a piece of 007 hardware!

WhiteWolf

PS: most laptops come with battery-optimizer s/w these days, even my 2.5 y/o Samsung came with one. Try this Brickie:

http://www.freeware4android.net/sprint-htc-evo-3d-device-2022/battery-saver-battery-optimizer-get-117022.html

(just googled ' htc evo phone battery optimizer')
