Here are a couple of pics of my daily driver. I bought it from work 2 years and 60,000 miles ago for $2000 and it has definatly paid for it's self but with 280,000 miles on it I would not want to trust it on a long road trip.

The good side

and the other side.

This is my truck that we pull the trailer with when we go on long trip and want something we can trust.

Here is my car for the quick trips to the hobby shop.

With the Dodge Ram, the Prick is on the inside.

I once told that to the father of a girl I was dating, needless to say she broke up with two days later. But her Dad really was one. To me anyways.

No offense to anyone. It's just a joke, seriously. See, hahaha. . . . That's funny, hahahahaha. . . You guys are all great, no matter what you drive. Everyone has their own preference of vehicles they like.

I hope I'm not the only one laughing.
Hey, Freddy maybe you guys can think about adding a "Jokes" Section where we can all share some humor.

The Dodge has the newer 5 speed auto in it and so far the trany has held it's own but yes Dodge tranys are junk my 93 made it 75,000 before it quit. I will say I have seen one good ony my friend that pulls a light supper pulling tractor had a Dodge with 240,000 on it with a trailer hooked to it the 2nd day he had it and only unhooked a couple of times the last was when he sold it so it spent most of its life with him pulling the traler.

John I'll remember that :D

now with the dodge trans , what I can not figure out is why the heck every trans shop tells me not to tweak the bands when I change the oil  but At 130,000 mi. I have not had clutch or band slippage except when the dang sensors went . This truck has pulled in excess of 15000 lbs since new to this day now I do have sensor probs yet which I just got to change . now feord on the other hand  I'm not even goin there lets just say I never was happier to go from that 88 210 diesel back to a 549 IH gas :p

Sweet stang. I love that color. My 02 F250 powerstroke has 166k on it with no major issues. Replaced the entire steering system (with stock parts) because it was wore out. I'm the 3rd owner of it and it seems to have a hard life before I got it. It had some baseball sized river rocks behind the ps cooler. Don't get me wrong the cummins is a great engine, too bad the rest of the truck is a pos.

so we doing a ford vs dodge forum here? wow! i drive both! i hate my 04/450 ford! junker! 230km on it and the parts list will begin eh. all in all, could have bought a brand new dodge with the repairs to the ford in the last month. through away trucks. my 06 ram 3500 is the truck! wow, no tranny problems here. 600km on it and only a water pump problem. both are used to pull my 28 foot travel trailer. the ford sucks on fuel. the dodge is fricken awesome on fuel. but this aint a dodge bashing ford forum so, sweet rides man! love the dodge dually!

My only Dodge gripe so far is the 4wd front wheel bearing's abortion (unitized hub's). I bought the snap on tool to pop them out. If anybody has question's pm me.

Perhaps I am not clear on what a beater is?

This is my beater...

I needed something for good gas mileage as the daily drive in the Trooper was killing my gas budget. So, I picked up an old Jetta that needed mechanical work and a paint job for $300. I put another $300 or so in fixing it up and have been driving it for three years. No major repairs till about a month ago when at 219,000 miles I finally had to replace the timing chain, water pump, etc. Still, I have about $1,600 in the car for three years of driving, and I get 32 MPG so I am pretty happy with it. My wife and I did the paint job one weekend for the fun of it - it is literally rattle can Rustoleum. Now THAT is a beater :)
