View Full Version : My 2nd truck Pete 379 daycab

This was my second attempt to do a 379. This time I wanted a day cab for I had a dump trailer being custom built by Ralph. I did a lot more detailing on this truck to try and make it more authentic looking. This time I did some cab mods, extending the cowl and changing the angle of the windshield. I also raised the roof for added detail.

This truck is also riding on a longer frame than stock, I just couldn't help myself:D The axle was also repositioned forward as far as it would go until the tires
would almost touch when turned.

I scratch built the sides of the hood and made some fenders from ABS plastic pipe.

After trying to come up a real Pete looking Battery box/step I had a run of my own made.

This is my favorite day cab Peterbilt to ever come from a King Hauler. Everything about it looks right. I cannot find any flaws. Just a beautiful truck and the dump trailer is a perfect match for it too. Great job Brian!

Looking good!:D What kinda pump are you running in your tractor? Does it have enough pressure to lift a full load of dirt? I have a dump trailer also and the stock wedico pump just doesn't have the pressure to lift a full load, any info would be great!

Brian in PA
09-12-2010, 09:35 PM
No problem, I am running the UMS pump. It has lifted anything that I have put in it. I would say that I have at least 20 pounds dumped from it!

Thanks!

Top notch truck. Very very clean. Does this Ralph Little fellow have a website? How can we contact him? I am guessing he builds these trailers one off for individuals. Any information would be great. Thanks.
