Haha, Come on Over, I got plenty of trucks and pallets to move. I just sit there every night and lose track of time. Since I got so sick of Only watching Vid's and drooling, decided to make my own.

WOW That is one awesome setup you have there. I really wish I had a place like that to build something to keep me busy in the evening and keep the trucks running.

So jealous right now

Thanks Tyler . I actually made it in two 4'x4' pieces and I can just put it into whatever configuration I want. If I wanna store it I just stack them under my pool table.

Nice looking set up. I like the 55 gallon drums, the ones I have are too small. You have a nice collection of the Rastar cars a well. :) Did you upgrade any of them?

Thank you ! Yes the Volvo is fully upgraded with lights on/off, micro speedo, Futaba steering servo and rotating beacons. They're just impossible to drive when stock.

Just out of curiousity, where did you get the action figures?

I use the Nylint Men of Steel for my drivers. The local toy store had a clearance sale years ago and I picked up all they had at the time for about $5 a figure. Unfortunately, there was less than a dozen figures.

Very nice logistical center! Sure looks like it will provide hours of fun for you, bet it was fun building too. Just curious, but who makes your 55gal drums and where did you get them? Did you make the pallets yourself as well?

The drums I got on eBay. The figures are from bruder and yes the pallets are home made.

Well Business has been great so Prestige Worldwide Excavating & Logistics had to move its operations to a bigger lot and we now have two loading areas, Lot A and Lot B along with new shops and a lot of new employees as well. Still a lot to be done.

Really nice setup. Now trucking has a real purpose besides just running down the road. Do you have a computer program to generate shipping tickets and bills of lading? Then you could ship loads to the wrong customers, just like for real.:D:D I like all the detail you put in everything.

LOL! Thanks Ken, That would be funny, we have a stop watch to use for timing a delivery from one platform to another, maybe we should see how "late" instead of how quick we can make a delivery :D:D;)

Haha, Well thank you! I actually made the tape. If you look closely at the first picture you'll see it sitting on the side. I got some yellow vinyl sheet, black 1/4 vinyl tape, you can see how I spaced it on the main sheet, diagonal strips(black), then I cut them horizontally in 1/4 wide strips (black/yellow). It takes time, but for me it was calming as I enjoy working with a sharp exacto knife :) . I hope this helps.

Diesel,

At least your wife may listen, my cat (like most pets), now thats another story.

I had a 6' x 8' diorama table for BattleTech years back, and she'd hop up, knock over mechs, and sometimes even eat the lichen! At least ya dun have to worry about 'invading monsters'...

Gorgeous diorama Mo, keep it up. If I think of any 'tips', I'll toss 'em your way. I've been tempted to convert one of the cheaper R/C forklifts, as the gorgeous Robbe/Linde one is a real punch in the pocket.

Oh, any tips on crates and pallets, like measurements? I have been fabricating crates and such for my tanks for ages, using coffee stir-sticks and popsicle sticks, and anything else I think is useful.

I had a friend build the pallets for me, he builds finger skate boarding sets and stuff. They're really good quality swiss wood, I've walked on a couple by accident once and nothing broke. But I have used the popsicle sticks on some smaller ones, I just like a little heavier pallets so they hold up better as I use them all the time. But shoot me any ideas you have. Working on depot lights and a sign next.

Speaking of project ADD , here is how I got side tracked, a little addition to the fleet of logistic stuff, a power/storage container. Pictures should explain everything . It can power anything that runs on 12v. 4 outlets so far. I may add more if I need to.

I've been following this thread since the start. It's one of the main inspirations for me to build my own dock. Really adds to the Rc trucking experience. I've enjoyed the building and playing with the dock but unlike an awesome indoor set up, having it outside has been a little tougher and can only play, weather permitting:( and this hasn't been the driest summer on record for us up here, that's for sure!

Thanks for sharing, and keep the update pics coming:)

Hello Guys, well Business has been great here at Prestige Worldwide Logistics and Excavating. We had to get some shipping containers to ship some big things, took me a few days to get them painted and then spent the last 18 hrs putting custom logos, indivially cut letters for serial numbers and capacity specs. I'm real happy with the way they turned out.

Sooo, Containers, Yep, well I just can't get enough of them. After a very very long time searching the net and the evil bay, I scored, the hard sided container that I've been wanting is now mine, all mine, all Five Brand new ones and the one used one. I paid a lot of money for them but I just had to have them.

Thank you! I have plans for a carrier in the future. But that can be done since parts and materials are available, containers however :D .. I've been watching some videos and people are using just wood panels to make containers and they paint hem up, sticker the doors and the sides with corrugated looks, they look awful if you ask me, that's I got the Bruder kinds.

The work load is getting heavy around the two loading bays so we needed more help. The boss went on the hunt for more machines to ease off some of the stress of having only one forklift, and success it was..
http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh533/Morockn1/B3E90A27-0A44-46A8-B29C-4701D1125FE6_zpsnsptheyo.jpg (http://s1250.photobucket.com/user/Morockn1/media/B3E90A27-0A44-46A8-B29C-4701D1125FE6_zpsnsptheyo.jpg.html)

These are probably the best forklifts ever made. I got two more machines, paid a premium for them but that's what happens when all the guys in Germany want them. Anywho, one was brand new build but the steering links broke during shipping from Germany , the other is brand new in the box still. So I decided to take the new built one apart and redo it my way , new paint job since they come unpainted in orange plastic. I also wanted to give you guys a little build thread on these machines or more of what's inside, added longer forks that I had stashed and the load support bars. So Here we go:

Did you make the bricks ? Great looking trailer load! The new forklift turned out great. I love the wheels and they look perfect with the body colour.
Can't wait to see more pics and maybe vids of these at work perhaps? :D

Thanks Mario! I will post a video once I get everything in place. Still got to add more details. The bricks were purchased that way from Fechtner Modellbau . Tons of them broke in shipping though.

So how do these forklifts compare to the ones Carson sells ??

Night and day. Those are still good but cheaply made. These guys are way stronger and can lift heavy stuff. You get what you pay for.

By the way the Carson one is the only one left in production beside the cheap $25 ones you from eBay. These Robbe ones have been discontinued .

Hi there I see you have a tamiya forklift in your early posts, I have just bought one and have tried converting it to rc by using esc's out of servos but managed to kill them :(. What did you use to power your motors.

Thanks

Hi , Sorry been out of this hobby for a while, I used a sabertooth speed control , they're made to control two motors.

Thanks

Ahh , no sir, it is still sitting in a box somewhere since I moved. I have not done anything with RC trucks for about 2 years now.

Looks good. All you need is a good storage system or warehouse with Dorset pallet shuttle systems (https://iawlogistics.co.uk/pallet-shuttle-systems/http://).
