We Usually have it in Oct around that time Joe but Ed has been so crazy busy at his shop we have not talked about it lately..I missed the last one I dont want to miss again but if we have it during High School Football Season I'll have to miss again it is Tristins 12th grade year and he is starting in 3 different positions. I'll get with Ed but that last 2 were in Oct.

I have no idea how you can say any of your equipment is bland. I have to say I believe you have the most used equipment ever and that is no joke. You have first hand inside and out knowledge of every major piece of machinery and its amazing what you have accomplished over the years.

By the way do you still have that little china hoe from rc4wd? I've still been thinking about getting one and wouldn't mind your input as of lately on it. I also wouldn't mind seeing it either. :p

Hey tyLer,
I just got the new version this week. It came in shipped upside down and all the oil leaked out.got oil in it last nite and messed with it a little . First slowed the pump way down.the tried to swop swing and curl ,but they have a 4 th valve in it mixed so that when you are not using function then it opens to not labor the pump. So I didn't get a chance to change the mix,I'm not really that sharp on New radios. The other problem is reciever is not labled ail rud etc,it is labled 1-9 and u don't know what is what you just have to figure it out. Also mine came painted HITACHI ORANGE so it looks a little better than yellow

Well thanx for the praise Tyler, yes they are very "used"! And they'll be very dirty too with quarry dust. It might shock ya how much wobble I have already in my JD850 boom/stick/bucket! :D

My knowledge from a nowadays prospective is quite limited to the very few companies I have dealt with (one of which is no longer). You'll learn a lot more from Travis & Izzy who have broaden their horizons with greater experimentation in their many scratchbuilds. But I'll gladly share what I know. ;)

I do still have the HK hoe, gonna do a rebuild of it this winter with better components. ;)

So can we get a list of people who are actually going and maybe make a list of trucks we might be seeing this year?

I'll start off by saying I'm gonna be bringing several trucks and a few machines including:

Black Tie Peterbilt

Man 8X8 (which is sold)

My newest truck "Clifford" (which will be revealed at the show)

The Ford FW-60 and maybe some implements

And lastly I'm hoping to bring the Cat Loader if I can get the hydraulics done by then.

I'll be bringing some parts and pieces too that I have left over from builds so I'll kinda be like the junk man I suppose. Not a lot but just some odds and ends.

Ok, well it's coming down to the final hours tomorrow to get everything packed up and ready to go for this weekend. I am getting my necessary tools and parts all together but now I'm wondering how to transport my rigs.

I've never taken them anywhere before and I'm realizing the trunk of my new car is not the largest in the world to be fitting three large trucks and a tractor in along with all my extras.

So my question to some of you guys is how should I pack them in the car to haul? I've seen the pink foam boxes which would be great but the opening to the trunk is quite small so I don't think I can build an oversized box to fit inside.

I'm hoping someone can give me some ideas that I can do because otherwise I'm thinking it may just be a few blankets to pack them in so they don't move.

Thanks for any help guys.

Tyler

Wow Tyler...what the heck do ya have....a Yugo ? lol Yeah the blankets will work....but i would also use pillows all around the edges of the trunk to keep the rigs in the blankets from sliding back and forth...also maybe something soft on the truck floor and something soft to lay on top of everything? Can you pack the tractors and trailers separate from each other ? You dont want them coming lose and the trailers banging the **** out of the cabs ! The main thing is...you dont want anything moving around or anything that could come lose and beat the crap out of something else ! Hope everything goes well for you...and i will see you at the show Sat.and Sun.

Ha ha no Yugo here Rick. It's a brand new 2013 Mustang and it's much more stylish. I have plenty of trunk space to fit the rigs no doubt but adding in support and making sure nothing moves is gonna be my biggest concern for the trip.

I'm debating running to the local home depot tomorrow and grabbing some pink foam and making dividers for the trunk (custom fit so to speak) to where the trucks will sit in the trunk straight and the walls between them will protect anything from sliding into them.

I'm still too undecided yet, any other ideas out there?

A cheap solution to your hauling problem is bath towels, especially those thick ones. Beats trying to build something last minute and pink foam still rubs the trucks or trailers;)
