I wont drag you thru a buildthread that most of you may have seen over at scale4x4.

In short - here's what a poorly built, hidious painted dozer has become after a total teardown, paintstipping and rebuild.
A "rollbar" and AC unit has been added

Another idea that popped up in my head the other day:
Warning!! Tiny stuff;)

Pretty cool! I enjoyed that video, both the truck driving around, and then the dozer at work. Dan

First time out looked great!

Is that sand you are running in?

It brings a tear to my eye that you let the 870 go already, but seeing your fine handywork once again on another model is cheering me up a bit.

Thanks all ;)

Thanks Scott. Yes - that's sand with a lot of filler(very very fine particles), which again holds a lot of moisture. Holds shapes very well, but gets very compact.

It brings a tear to my eye that you let the 870 go already, but seeing your fine handywork once again on another model is cheering me up a bit.

As always - you're much too kind Joe. My fiddling completely falls thru when looking at builds on this and simular sites.

About the 870, and me selling it. I looooved that machine for its stance and power. I disliked the extra planning/effort needed to get it around.

Since these machines are a hobby to me, i.e. far down on the "what's important in my life" list, I have no problems what so ever to adjust my "inventory" at any time.
Also - One thing gone, usually means something new to build is coming:D

I was just yanking your chain about the 870 Ole :p :D, I know you prefer to build 'em, as it shows in the many detailed projects you've done to date.

I sure hope the JD850 fits thru the window opening, as I don't care to cart it up/down the stairs.

Ole, she looks great. I must have missed the thread which showed what it originally looked like. Can ya post any pictures of before your paint job and custom work? I really like the roll bar you fabricated for it, adds a really nice touch.

Very nice job, I am happy to see it getting dirt. All the lights really add to your models. How often do you fellows get together in your play area ? Looks like alot of fun, keep the video's coming..

Thanks guys;)

Yes - our playground is a great place. Double so during the upcoming cold seasons. We usually get together ones or twice a week.

Lately we get more and more popular for different fair organizors. This month we are booked at 2 big indoor carshows:D It'll be fun!!

The Cat got some more electronics:
