I thought at first I was striking a ultimate deal on EvilBay. A PMD Mercedes Benz with a Rear Bumper Motorized Crane. Well I finally got it today and what a Project. I'm not sure if the circut boards are shorting out or its my radio. I'm thinking a nice 8 or 10 channel 2.4 Radio is in order. I got the battery to work but it's not holding a charge. So then I got it to steer and go forward and reverse. Then shifting worked great then all heck broke loose. Seems the channel to shift was making the truck go in forward and reverse at the same time the right stick was making it go forward and reverse. This truck has the PMD MFU and full light kit. I'm not sure yet what it will be in the near future. With the trailers I have planned I will prolly just ad a fifth wheel and run it like that. If I can figure out how to take the mechanicals apart withput completely baffling myself :p . Any comments or ideas are welcome. Just letting everyone know what I'm working on. Thanks for looking, John.

Hi Aaron. It seems by looking at it that the system is pieces of the Wedico Wrecker Unit. I was thinking tonite that a Wrecker might be a good project. The part that makes it swivel is just a long electric motor. the big gear in the picture is mount to a big black box that must contain the reduction unit. Definately a neat and brilliant set-up. As I'm typing this I know first thing is a good radio then make it a Mercedes Wrecker.

I got the rear end of the truck cleaned of electronics. I will have some of this for sale in the near future. I'm going to figure out what I need first and extras will be sold. It was a pain in the butt taking the System apart. Then the cab was a royal pain. I still have to figure out how to put it all in the tight compartment the right way.
Thanks for looking!

I was able to get pictures of all three together to see how the Wedico measured up to the King Hauler and AeroMax.

Wow! I was worried you had gone dark on me man! :D That is quite a truck! Looks like it got in a fight with a bear, but you seem to have cleaned it up nicely! :) It does fit in well with your rigs, and I'm sure it will look great with that trailer! What are you thinking for a paint scheme?
