Hello,
this is my first dozer, its not scale but i tried to get it like Cat D8. There is something to do, i will change to metal tracks and the motor to lift the blade will changed to faster.

I saw your build on another forum. I'm happy to see that you posted here as well! It's a very nice machine!
Oh, I like it much better now that you put it back to the cable setup too!

Hello,
thanks for the compliments. I have used two RB35:200 to drive the tracks, and a motor with gear box to lift the blade. This motor is to slow and i will change it. The next step is to build tracks in metal, because the power is to high for this tracks.
In this video you can see the dozer working together with the Menck M90 backhoe.

The new video looked great and it looks like the machine is performing very well now. The speed is right on and the power it has is great for its size. I really like how this dozer turned out.

Amazing ! What a difference with the blade speed  Looks like its a lot easier to operate now too. Faster all around.
Very nice work. Now you need to find a little man to put in the seat. :):)

The new speed does look like it opperates much smoother and has pretty good traction in the dirt as well. Awaiting new videos of it in action too.

Hey Tyler,
i will do so. The only problem: a nine minute video needs the whole night for uploading. So thats german kind of web connection :D

Hi Mario,
thanks. What else can i do? I have the same problem as many other modellers: At the first videos, my wife took the camera, but she is not amused to assist me. Therefore i put the camera to a tripod and thats the reason of this kind of videos.

Very cool machinery, all of it! That cat really pushes the dirt around with all authority. That Menck crane-dragline works well too. Good stuff!!!! Dan

Where abouts did you get the tracks from?

Where abouts did you get the tracks from?
I bought them at www.ip-modellbau.de
But i will change them this year (i hope so) to metal, because the dozer is not able to put the whole power into the ground.

Wolfgang,
Nice job on the dozer. Did you have good pictures or plans for the build? Did you make all the parts from scratch? Like pulleys for the rope lift and undercarriage?
Thanks for the videos,
Jim

Hi Jim,
some pics of building. I had no plans, only pictures. Therefore i named this "Dozer like Cat D8". All selfmade, frame in aluminum, cab in steel

Cheer's, Neil.
Hi Wolfgang, looks cool,
do you know there is a D8 near by in in your area? Every April at the "Kippertreffen" in Geilenkirchen you can see it working. In the DAVIDS gravel-pit.D8 at work (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bv0mc9eJadM)
You can see your D8 is realy near to the big one.

Slippery trailer decks make it difficult to load!
I've slid off of a tilt deck before, makes for an exciting ride!
Nice trailer!

Seilbagger-I have seen a few dozer loadings that went almost like this. I had to laugh a little but your dozer looks and works great! One of my favorites. If I ever built a dozer it would be a cable dozer.
