I have wired them into my Parking lights circuit, no relay required if you are using LEDS (Low curent Draw) so they can be run with the parkers. The other way is to wire them into the speed indicator lighting circuit, so they can be switched seperatly than the parkers, but the parkers will have to be turned on for this to work. Hope this helps.

Well, further update, I have added more lights tonight (Side step and sleeper lights) and have ended up having to split them up between the head lights and aux light channels, to get enough voltage to run everything. Maybe the idea of a relay is closer than I thought.

Looks great in the end though!

It's easy as I have done it. I'll draw you a diagram and take pics of it

Ok i belive you are trying to acheive this?

If so i used port J15 on the MFU took a MFU lead from the globe i wasnt using happend to be a brown and yellow one...

I cut the stock wires about 6" from the plug and solderd new wires on i used brown to brown and a white with brown stripe to the yellow ( i use Cat-5/phone wire its small bendable and works great) the brown wire in this case is our possitive wire + and soldered that to the Poss of the first LED or the rounded side looking at the bottom of it (should have the longer post). take a seperate wire doesnt matter what color and solder it to the negative ( be sure to cut one long enough to run to next LED) like so
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b190/firepisser8104/red%20freightliner/diag1.jpg

Then take the neg from LED 1 and solder it to the Poss + of LED #2. Take another wire and solder it to the neg like so
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b190/firepisser8104/red%20freightliner/diag2.jpg

Now the neg lead from LED 2 ( i should mention the neg side of the LED is flat on that side when looking at the bottom) and solder it to the Poss to LED 3
http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b190/firepisser8104/red%20freightliner/diag3.jpg

Repeat soldering the neg from LED 3 to the Poss of LED 4
BUT this time the neg from LED 4 goes to your yellow wire from the MFU in this case being our white with brown stripe wire.

If done correctly you will then have this

Hope that was what you were looking for and it helped. If you run into issues just shoot me a PM and i can help walk you thru some more.

Hey mate, I will get some picks and post them, but not until nnext week, work breakup this weekend so away for a couple of days down the beach.

I have used every channel on the MFU, and doublled up on most of them, problerm I had was the voltage drop when running too many LEDs fromt he once connector. I have got PMD under Cab and Under step lights both side, parkers fornt and rear, rear clearance lights, on the side of the bumper, roof clearance and speed lights, etc.

Thew other suggestion I would have is if you dont use the FU Spped light function (Where the gear and speed dictate how many lights on on the roof) then you could wire these all together from one connector, and then use the other to power your clearance lights?

Kinda... You can break them up that way i belive. The way i do it is if there is a 2 3mm LEDs on that plug i double it. if its 2 5mm LEDS i can triple it in 3mm. like my brake lights on my globe are 5 3mm leds all on 1 plug. my 8 front leds on my front bumper are 2 sets of 4 as they were 2 3mm stock.... simple math that should help keep the voltage down. my outer 2 clearance lights run my 2 new LEDS in the new grill on the globe as well thus taking the 2 and doubleing it.

So with that in theory you should be able to take the 3 speed indicators and wire them like the side marker lights in a series and put off 1 plug. then that opens up poss room for 4-8 more lights you can wire in...

Tamiya Cowboy and Travis are the real wizards on the adding extras to the MFU. Maybe one of them will chime in

Buy a servonaut and you wont have that problem ;);)

Who sells the servonaut, and what features / costs are associated with it?

You might just buy the unit straight from servonaut. Basically, you can run whatever lights you want you just have to wire them up yourself using resistors and what not. The cost is a little more but the simplicity of it makes it worth it, another cost would be that it takes up a channel on your receiver, not a huge deal if you have plenty of channels. I bought the SMX (sound) and the M20+ (speed controller and light controller) both have easy setup and both are easy to program. I have just about 60 LEDs running on my current truck and trailer setup and have had no problem what so ever. Servonaut is the better choice when it comes to expanding on lights, you don't have the head ache of guessing if LEDs will work or not. From the sounds of it, servonaut would have your truck, and trailer lights covered, and then some if you decided to add more in the future
