okay so i started designing/planning this around the size of a drill motor/gearhead and angle grinder combo. i decided a tracked loader would better suit what i want to do but i dont know where this may lead.

go easy on me i am using autodesk 3ds max 9 to do this and i quickly modeled the parts i plan to use just to get an idea of the size and scale of it. i initially planned to have the motors laying flat horizontally but due to the narrow and tall profile of the 963D i found with this modeling that they would fit better vertically with a tinted closed cab.

i am really going more for functionality more than scale realism. if it works well then later maybe focus on that. still have alot to test and see and pretty sure plans will change down the road.

right now it looks like 1/10th scale-ish
from rear bumper to front of tracks it measures 17 5/8"
my scale calculator shows 1/10th @ 18.7"

width-wise it shows 10 3/8"
scale calc says 1/10th is 8.98"
and 1/8th - 11.22"

hmmm... maybe need to get it narrower

some parts used:
- craftsman drill/gear head (would like to implement 2 speed)
- 4 1/2" angle grinder head
- 1/2" v-belt with 3/4" channel for tracks with 3" OD pulleys

the blue cylinders are my screw drive motors...(will need testing!!)

well, have a look see and let me know what you think.
