The truck will be a two tone black with a orange bottom, like my chevy scaler.

Updates...

-Got some parts in the mail, this rig was missing a lot of pieces when I got it.
-Installed the trans and found a old silvercan in my toolbox I tossed in.
-Bolted the cab floor pan in and dremeled a space for the motor. (I will be making a center console to cover the motor later)
-Made a styrene sleeper pan that is bolted to the trans. All the tronics will go in the sleeper.

Thanks man.

Per the fuel tanks, with guidance from "Joe", you just have to shave down the inside of the bracket just a bit to get them to fit. :) The fit just fine.

I have a question for ya.
Why did you put the tranny back so far?
And don't you have the sleeper floor?
I was just wondering is all.

I put the trans for back to leave the front clip enough room for a CAT 512 I have coming in the mail. The steering servo I have up front will be moved in side the cab when I put the CAT 512 in.:D

I don't have the sleeper floor, I bought this off a forum and it happened to "not" come with everything.....lesson learned. :(

Great pictures. I like where your project is headed. That stretched frame will make your trailer look like a shorty!

That kinda sucks about the headache rack. they should have mentioned that it was raw and not polished. the new additions look great!

The headache rack will look great on the back of your truck. Not bad. I think that rack will polish up pretty easily. The tool cuts look pretty smooth. I like the visor too.

Here are some pictures from the NorthWest Model Hobby show(Monroe, Wa) this weekend, I entered my semi's in the "Scale Display" event. I didn't win anything, I more enjoyed seeing people checking it out, answering questions about it and amazing everyone when I gave a kid a ride...lol(it can pull about 80lbs). All in all, it was fun.:D

I know this thread is a little old but has anyone else did the steering link like in post #21, was wanting to add the cat engine to mine but need some alternative steering options and were to get the parts like the one in #21, looks like a good idea but dont know what parts were used to make it.

Post 21...

Updates...
-Shaved bottomed sides of the CAT engine to get it to fit in the frame rails.
-Alum bell crank and steering done, still needs a bit of tweaking.
-65t motor with a 9t (32p) pinon.
-Got another sleeper box, I will be combine them to make one big one.
-Teking FXR and Hitec 645 servo.

I think i saw a similar setup back on scale4x4 years ago that used 2 servo horns, a driveshaft bearing support, and a custom shaft. Not sure what his nicer looking version was using.

Edit...

Hey Justin,

What's the latest on these rigs? Any news or updates? Looks like I'll be joining the world of Tamiya semi truck owners soon myself. :)
