Ok so since Jon and Travis cant keep there yaps zipped I guess it is time to come clean and post some picks of a little day cab COE show rig I am putting together. Jon showed me the picks of this little truck the other day and ever since Rouge built his awesome little single axle day cab pete and Travis little day cab knight hauler I have wanted to build a signal axle day cab truck.
http://i883.photobucket.com/albums/ac33/Stylinpete/02018.jpg

So here is a pick of the bits and bobs..Going to run a R2 tranny with a 65 turn and a 6 tooth onion/ 645 steering servo/ Verkrik low pro tires/ 11 3/4 frame rails/ Glob cab cut way down and other pieces and parts.
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/theonlytamiyacowboy/001.jpg

Ok here is the built frame with the running geared lowered way down I had to notch the frame in the rear for the axle to travel..
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/theonlytamiyacowboy/002-1.jpg

Frame with stock body to the left of the blue tape is where the body gets cut.
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/theonlytamiyacowboy/003-1.jpg

Ok time to move the wheel well I think..
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/theonlytamiyacowboy/004-1.jpg

And I think this looks right..
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/theonlytamiyacowboy/006-1.jpg

Ok that is it for tonight!! More to come. :D

I like the looks of this already. Not sure if you need to go with that motor and gear combo. My Stude has a 55 turn motor with about a 13 tooth pinion and it is plenty slow with the R2 in it.

....and the keyword on the last comment is TIME. It seems like a month or two ago you were building the "State/County truck" with plow and sander. I'm sure that was probably 20 trucks ago though.

Ben that was Freddy that built the plow truck..That boy is in a class by him self..

Talk about being creative in fitting all of the stuff to run that in the cab or anywhere else for that matter.

LOL yeah it is going to be snug just getting a esc in it but my esc is the size of a .25 cent piece and I will be running Lipo so the battery will be small.

Hay I didn't mention any names I just sujested that some body should build it.:D

Ok long over due update on the old cracker box. Between customer truck builds and work there just has not been time for my stuff but I am getting a caught up with work so I got some time this weekend to work on the cracker box.

Alright I got the head lights sunk in and the new headlight rings mounted there is a little more shaping to do around the rings and I have to cut in the side marker light. I also filled in the old grill hole and got the KW grill reset in the body..

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/theonlytamiyacowboy/001-8.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/theonlytamiyacowboy/003-11.jpg
http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/theonlytamiyacowboy/004-12.jpg

Also got the floor cut and mounted so i could set the cab.

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/theonlytamiyacowboy/007-7.jpg

So that is it for now.. Ill close the back of the cab in this week and cut the rear window in. I also have to make the AC unit for the roof to "Does anyone have a pick of what this unit looks like if so it would really help" Thanks Much. I have to get some alum for the front bumper so I can set it back some and make it look nice..

Ok thanks guys more to come.

WOW! I had to do some major digging to find this thread but this may shock some but i started on it again this last weekend. I work up Sat night at 2am and could not get back to sleep so I got up and had the itch to build so I started in and things were clicking again..

I normally dont worry about the interior in the cab but i thought I would in this truck. I got the dash and seats in then got to work on the dog house.

Way cool! Great paint work luv the A/C unit that puts it over the top.

Thanks Plow Jockey..

I like the truck but not the paint:eek:, it looks like you couldn't decide on a color so you used all the colors you had. It's your truck and you like it so that is all that counts.

Travis

Last night I took some alum tig rod and made a set of day cab grab bar with ladder..

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/theonlytamiyacowboy/Truck%20Picks/002-2.jpg

And I have had this in my head for a while now I wanted a pup trailer for my grain trailer and I made it so I could also pull it behind the cracker box with a change of tires..

http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g276/theonlytamiyacowboy/Truck%20Picks/010-3.jpg

I built this trailer today in 5hrs start to finish.. main body is made out of 1/4 PVC sheet all glued with 143 Fuser glue then I made all the alum edges and rails and glued them on too very solid trailer all I got left to do is some detail and the dolly..

Thanks For Looking.

Thanks 404.. Should never worry about digging up old threads mine or anyone else its good to bring them back to the top sometimes that is the only way new people will every find them. And new members should never worry about what someone may say if you dig up a old thread there is nothing wrong with doing so.
