Travis,

I have gotten the rear deck piece cut out and am getting ready to start the modifications as soon as I finish sanding the floors in my house. I will get some new pictures when i find my camera from the move.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p115/hos1880/m26-dragon-wagon-2.gif

From there I set out to start building the chassis:D

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p115/hos1880/IM000574.jpg

at this point i realized that my rear axles were not right so back to work.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p115/hos1880/IM000576.jpg

now it looks better the issue i was having was i was and still am working off of a 1/72 scale model, the next point was to start securing it together.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p115/hos1880/IM000605.jpg

once i got all that figured out then it was time to start the front mounted winch.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p115/hos1880/IM000611.jpg

now that this was done I needed to start on the body and as Tamiyacowboy can attest I SUCK at body work and paint, so I got help.

Tanks guys and for some more pictures.

I started on the rear of the M26 with the 5th wheel plate and the A-arm for recovery missions.

http://i126.photobucket.com/albums/p115/hos1880/IM000621.jpg

these are the last pictures that I have I will get some more of the newer stuff I have done ans well as some of the Trailer sections I have started. I did rework the rear A-arm mounting plate as I was not happy with it. I also will add pictures of the platform with the welding tanks and stash cubby as soon as i get them taken. What is taking me so long is the fact that i have to add two more winches at the rear and I want it to look right as well as be functional.

Hello

I just found this build post and My jaw is still on the bench WOW! I don`t think you should put yourself down about your body work WOW. Sorry I didn`t see, what is the scale of your build?

Also about the truck and trailer, could you tell me the size of the aluminum rails and where you got them from? Is it possible for you to post a list of the parts sources you got your parts from? How did you get your measurements for the large scale build?

Thanks Again for Posting, Keep them coming PLEASE.

well looking at what Travis and Lynn got going makes me want to rethink alot of this truck so, with some of the newer parts out I am going to redo the frame rails and re look at the front winch as well as rear suspension and of course rims and tires. Then the part that still is baffelling me is the dual winch on the rear cause I want this to have 3 working winches. so over time when I can work on this I will have to do some up dates.

Merritt, 1 of the reasons I chose the soft top version is that I don't think I could compete with yours:) The rear winches are an ongoing concern of mine also. No problem getting a winch for the front but the 2 rear winches so close together is going to be a tuff nut to crack. Plus they are suppose to be run off of a PTO which I don't see happening on my version!!

Lynn, I agree the rear winches are probably the hardest part. The other main thing I need to fix is the spacers on the rear wheel because they are so far out the ones I made the tires are not very stable. Will have to see how you do yours.

Merritt, I am making the wheel spacers out of steel 12mm hex rod. :)
