I have looked but haven't found... I want to build or maybe buy a lowboy ( Rogers, Trail King, ect..)..probably a tri-axle. I want to use aluminum. Has anyone done one of these in alum. or know anyone that builds a nice one?

This is the best one I have ever seen , can be bought in three or four axle flip.

Wow that's beautiful! I must have overlooked it. I'd have to save a bit for that.

Sorry Ben but I built this trailer before I knew about the forums so I didn't take any pics while I was building it. I will take some pics of it in a few and post them.

Nice looking lowboy. I have bought the odd piece of metal at Home Depot but they are pretty pricey. I have bought a fair bit of metal (all kinds) from Online Metals. Their prices seem pretty good and there is no minimum order. Not sure if they would have the size/s needed though. Of course, for smaller stuff, Special Shapes is good.

Here are the links:

I built this one by hand from aluminum for the main deck and rear suspension (standard tamiya axels and springs) - the neck is mostly steel.

Wow, I second that! That is a fantastic looking lowboy, Izzy. That had to require some milling.

It does look great! The transaction from the deck to bolsters over the wheels is very accurate, something very hard to duplicate and that's not even to mention the neck which is amazing in itself.

Thanks guys - it was a fun build! my only oops was not paying enough attention to the deck length - it's a bit long. The neck is fully rc functional.
