No snow here but the weather is nucking futs. We have just under freezing at night and mid 60s till the sun goes down. Then we get a warm spell for a few days then freezing for the next few with some rain, sleet, hail, high winds, thunderstorms, lightning, sunshine. As the saying goes for Missouri, if you don't like the weather just wait 5 minutes. If you ever need a laugh just go to weather.com and put in my zip code (63771) and you might see what I mean.

Oh and I have figured out these so called weather forecasters. They don't learn weather forecasting in school, they learn how to make excuses for when they are wrong.

Gotta ask.. Where are you loading hay for? Heck I could've sent my son over to keep you company, if I'd only known. He called me to tell me he was alive, about the accident on Hwy2, and that he was driving carefully, when I asked why he was driving when the RCMP had asked everyone to stay off the roads...He replied "I gotta get home"...After reading your reply I am now wondering if you are actually loading hay that he brought into Edmonton from the Mayerthorpe area...

Glad you are safe and sound at the Flying J..

We had a bit of a windstorm here yesterday and into the wee hours of the morning today. It blew 45-55 knots for several hours and knocked out our electricity for almost 24. Nice first day of spring! I got to spend the night refueling the generator so that our fish didn't die and worrying about trees landing on the house and shop:(. Today was a mix of everything... Having no hydro put me another day behind on my truck:mad: but at least no trees landed on anything important.

My home state is over it's yearly average for snowfall, but in all honesty, this is how the weather used to be when I was a kid growing up. We haven't had much for snow the last couple of years, and as far as I can remember, we'd even have snow in April, most of the time. The last couple years, we've been really fortunate to have an early spring, but who knows what we'll get this year. I'm not complaining either way. I've got plenty to keep me busy, indoors.

Cold dreary weather is a good excuse to stay indoors where it's warm... the current excess of winter is certainly better than the alternative -> hot & candle stick dry!!! Enjoy the moisture while it lasts. :)

What the h*ll has Mama Nature been doing while I've been AFK sick? Hokay, which one of yuou is carrying her load of prozac and hormone treatments? Get back on the road and deliver it, hear?

In all seriousness, kinda makes me glas I was sick in hospital this past week. No reason to go out in that white cr*p. Not that it scares me, not having been a 'za driver for over a decade and all, but its the people that go out in it that " Dont Have A Fr*ggin' Clue " how to handle a vehicle in this. They are the dangerous ones.

Knowing how ~your~ vehicle handles is a lot toward avoiding an accident, as that knowledge can be used to gage if you can stop in time, or rig a skid/slide to go around the offtending twerp/twerpette, or safely ditch it if you have to.

If ya gotta drive, guys and gals, play it safe, ok? Lotsa space, and no more speed than you can control, clear? Oh, and keep all the relevant wheels on the downside, eh?

this is purely my opinion but i think the groundhogs are getting fed up with being bothered by us to wake up to tell us about the winter.they are probably thinking ...people thats what you have weathermen and ladies for and lets not forget about that modern technology we have .they figure if the lie a few times then we will get fed up also and leave them alone because they really don't know squat:p

Whoa...

Its a little chilly out here in Ottawa... high of 12c/52f where it was double that all last week.

Thats why I asked if anyone checked the Farmer's Almanac to see what we're supposed to have for the Truck show weekend. Know the one dowen Hamilton-way is indoor, but the Canada Day one is outside, so anything damp is gonna make it a washout.
