Hello everyone.
I got tired of loading my dump trucks by hand and using a dust pan:mad:So I looked online for a some sort of loader.I found a brand new gold edition Scale-Art 963 never been run.So I bought it.

So 2 weeks later she is here.I ran it for about 2 days and them I said, time for paint.I talked to Probuilder and we came up with a plan.I took a ton of pictures of Cat 963 and the different variations of them.Went to the local Cat dealer to take pictures of the ac units and interior. Now this is what she looks like

The driver is a custom poured resin model just for this model.I have a SMX sound unit for it ,I am just waiting on a new switch for it.We gave the driver AC for those long hot summer days.:cool:Here is a short video. Thanks for looking.

Very nice. Looks like a lot of work went into painting, it shows. The brass version looks so naked next to your finished model. Would like to see a close up of the operator.

YIKES!!! I know the saying to each their own but the raw brass version was considered and still is I believe the most highly valued unit due it being in their natrual brass finish with only a limited number of them made. I believe when it was released it was near $16000 or $17000. But I guess if you're a die hard CAT fan then it would overtake and win the original finish.

Eh, it's cool in it's raw finish, but it's pretty much a shelf queen like that. I'm pretty sure these models aren't going to hold their value any better as a raw brass finished machine, other then for the fact that they are quite simply another low hour, like new model that has never been run. I think it looks better painted!

I agree with Nathan. I got this unit so I could show up at the pile with a machine that was ready to work.I really don't plan on ever selling it, so market valve is not so important to me. I thank all of you guys for inspiring me and I am in awe of some if the builds on this board.I have to take it apart slightly to install the smx sound unit and custom speaker box from scale-art. Oh well back to work.
