Hey guys, just got an email from Verdun Zurbrigg (one of the Clifford organizers). They have asked if we would be interested in doing the Howick fall fair on October 5th 2013.

They have said if we choose to come we can set up outside or indoors in the arena. Also, they have asked if there would be a cost involved in having us there?

whats everyone think?

On a side not, we did a fundraiser in Burford yesterday and may have a corporate sponsor lined up to help fund our activities!

as long as there are well behaved kids and parents there :cop:.i would be interested,:) is it on a weekend? i am thinking set up inside ..that way if it rains we are still good:D anywhere i can play with trucks all day.....you know the rest:rolleyes:.if they are willing to pay something why not then it can go in our fund box to help pay for some of the upgrades we want to add to our layout.what does everyone else think?

I apologize, I haven't checked on this thread in a bit:o My bad:cop:

Sounds like great news! After only 2 appearances and already being offered money !:D.
I agree, a few bucks to help fund future expansion and setup costs. Indoors would be ideal depending on space available. I'd imagine there is already lots going on in there and our space may be small??

Otherwise, sounds great. I will talk with Sue to see if we can attend. I'm sure I can book the time, just have to see if she can get the time off.

my email comes directly to my phone all day long, I only come on the forum every couple days or so...I can't be the only one who would think email would be the better way.

The Heavy Equipment Forum sends you an email any time a thread that you have posted in gets a new post. I'm not sure how that works but maybe it's something that the mods could do on this site? Just a thought....

yes RCP you're right, but you have to "subscribe" to a thread after reading it, so if someone posts something new, it wont notify you until you've read it and subscribed.

Yes I agree we need some sort of mail list. Im quite busy this time of year and only check the forum once or twice a week. It would be nice to be able to keep everyone in the loop.

Well my thoughts are this, and i will probably offend some but unfortunately i speak my mind.i look at the truck clubs all over the world and i am on so many other truck forums all over and the way they are organized blows me away.this forum is probably the biggest and the busiest of all of them,i find it hard to believe that people cannot take 5 mins out of their day to check the forum or this section for updates especially when it pertains to them. Anything i post or want to know about i check here pretty much daily.personally everyone needs to start taking a better interest in.this hobby or don't do it at all.i have just about given up on it on my end just because of the lack of interest(by others) and lack of organization...:( sorry but thats my thoughts the ones that do not take it serious.....you know who you are.i drive a truck and am on the road alot some days i put in 15-16hrs 5 sometimes 6 days a week yet i manage to find even a few mins to check or post or work on a build always.those are my thoughts and my.opinions..take it any way you like
