Those cyl's I think are the suspension. Yes I agree this is a good one for cousin Paul to do and thanks for showing it to us Uncle Freddy.

Looks quite interesting, that's for sure. To me, it looks like some sort of futuristic container carrier. It must pick up containers under it's belly, and then transfer them to a different location. I'm guessing the cylinders are either suspension, or they change the configuration of the machine so it can walk over the top of the containers, lower down, then latch on, and lift them up.

Ok, this is just wierd
Apparently it can dump either front, rear, or either side, wonder what the load capacity might be??

How would you like to be the excavator/loader operator to swing your bucket over those cylinders every time you dump a scoop..?

My hat's off to the designer but I have one question....
How does this rig steer?

pugs

If the wheel sets could pivot on the legs, it would be possible it could have 4 corner steering for tight spots and front corner steering for road.

Well i thought this one was impossible. I now see it has small flaps on the dump box for dumping sideways... wow..

as for rear set of wheels, that will NEVER work in the real world. would jam up with mud or rocks and be a sitting duck.

as for propulsion, it is most likely an electric motor at each wheel. where the diesel generator is, i dunno. its a mystery lol.

on a side note it looks almost like it is from a japanese anime or something. reminds me of the AKIRA bike

If you look at the fourth picture down that Jeff put up, there is a pivot point on top of the wheel mounting box. I suspect that it turns the same as a twin steer, except it's computer control. The rear wheels also look to have the drive motors mounted in them to power it. As for the power plant it's probably nuclear or fuel cell.

How does he know where's he's dumping when he's dumping forward? He can't really see unless there's some sort of down-view mirror. lol And like Stuff said, not very practical design on the wheels, and drivetrain.
