i joined facebook a little while back seeing that lots of people are on there .i for one was not really impressed by it before, and never gave it a second thought ,but i figured well what the hey..no harm in joining to see what its all about.now for the most part ,most of the people i have dealt with have been fairly decent .and yes i know its a social network ,but what is up with the people on their cheating and making deals go sour by bilking people out of their hard earned cash by not living up to their end of the deals that go through their on a constant basis.it is so bad that there is a list generated by some people of the person or person's that you should shy away from where deals to buy merchandise are concerned.one poor soul paid for something and shipping and this other goof sent him a box with a bunch of papers and garbage instead of the item he was purchasing, and another was to do an equal trade and sent his item but got nothing in return.and to add to that there are people on there stealing photos of other peoples work or builds or ? and posting it as their own on another page without the owners permission..i know all to well about that because i have had 3 incidents already where i had to e-mail the person(s) to remove it at once, and almost on a weekly basis someone is informing me of seeing more of my pics posted here ...there... .i cannot believe these people do not have any morals.yes i know its social network but come on people show some f%$#^&&ing respect for others and their property.i am still on there and was informed by paul westhoff t.c.cowboy i can watermark my photos to protect them..really its so sad that you have to do this ...unbelievable..thanks for listening guys and gals ..its nice to be a part of this forum where you respect others and they respect you:)

Just curious... What good is it to someone to steal a photo of one of your builds and claim it as their own??

Sounds like what fleecebay was like 15yrs ago.... same sh!t different pile.

My pics & vids are over the internet with ppl claiming it's something they've done. What really stings is when I find a vid on utube & it's all stickered up with ads & lots of views, somebody else profiting from what I did

Some ppl have complained here that we're too anal with how we run our B/S/T forum, but we've been around the block a few times already & have been reasonably accurate at keeping the scammers out. ;)

thats why paypal can be your friend if you do NOT use the gift function.

I've bought and sold on facebook rc groups. most deals have been good.

but there is always a bad apple to ruin the whole barrel!

I'm not on facebook....seems more grief than its worth sometimes.

For buying/ selling, I always look first on the forums which are invariably used by decent, honest, like-minded people (at least, that's my experience to date!)

on facebook I join local groups that buy and sell things and so far all have been good and the people that are bad dealers are posted up front in big letters for people to see
but I pick up anything I buy so no chance of box of papers or trash
