John Deere 4520

After years of looking at the great builds you all have made on here I've decided to start my own. I'm starting with a 1/16th scale ertl John Deere 4520. I've got a 6 channel hobby king radio and receiver on the way, as well as a crawler motor and servos. I was wondering if you guys could tell me what batteries and axles you would recommend buying. I have used the wedico plastic diffs, the Tamiya semi diff or just a straight motor gear-reduced motor setup. for that size of a tractor, I would used a small 3s lipo for space conservation. Keep in mind the radio gear (esc, battery, servo) most of that is gonna have to fit in the cab because e that body is too narrow for much else.

Ok. I will look into those. I was planning on putting the battery servo and esc in the cab. It has plastic windows in the cab so my plan is to use some light window tent to kind of hide it.

Nice project!
In my MF 1155 I taped a LiPo under the roof of the cab, because I found no other space for the battery...
In the rearaxle I have two RB35 motors with a ratio of 100:1...

Thanks. I never thought to tape the battery up there. Where could I find those motors at? After watching your Massey in action I think that those motors will give me plenty of power.

The 75:1 will work well also...
They have enough torque and the current is not too much. I run them with a 10 or 12 Amps. speed controller...
But the power of my Massey is also a question of tyres...them on the rearaxle are very soft (25 shore).
