Hi I’m Ian and I'm the sales manager at Firgelli Technologies. As an avid RC'er I thought I’d start with a little introduction to our products. We at Firgelli produce 18 models of actuators that are RC plug n play, plus another 3 (PQ12-6v) that can be used via RC with our controller board.

The L12-R
4144

This is our standard 6V receiver–ready linear servo. Plug it into your receiver and it works just like an analog servo. It comes in 3 stroke lengths: 30mm, 50mm and 100mm
and 3 gearing options:
50:1 Max speed: 23mm/sec Max load: 2lbs
100:1 Max speed: 12mm/sec Max load: 5lbs
210:1 Max speed: 5mm/sec Max load 10lbs

The L16-R:
4145
Our new, more powerful 6V receiver–ready linear servo. Plug it into your receiver and it works just like an analog servo. The L16-S series comes in 3 stroke lengths: 50mm, 100mm and 140mm
and 3 gearing options:
35:1 Max speed: 32mm/sec Max load: 10lbs
63:1 Max speed 20mm/sec Max load: 20lbs
150:1 Max speed: 8mm/sec Max load: 40lbs

The PQ12-P with LAC:

The PQ12-P is our smallest actuator, it has one stroke length, 20mm and 3 gearing options:
30:1 Max speed: 25mm/sec Max load: 1.5 lbs
63:1 Max speed: 12mm/sec Max load: 4lbs
100:1 Max speed: 9mm/sec Max load: 6lbs
4146

The PQ12-P does not have its own internal controller, so an external controller board (like our Linear Actuator Control Board or LAC) must be used for it to understand an RC signal. The LAC board is always ½ price when purchased with a “P” series actuator.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions on using our actuators, I try to answer every email before I go home each day.
Yup, I hate waiting for replies too!

Welcome aboard Ian. Does it mean members of the forum will get special discount on your actuators?

Thanks for the welcome guys.

"Does it mean members of the forum will get special discount on your actuators?"
First question is always the same on every forum. ;)

I have been known to launch coupons for no reason at all.

But before you tag us as expensive, understand our "R" series actuators came down in price from $90US/unit to $70US/unit in Jan 1013. Then in Dec 2013 we lowered our shipping rates (like who does that?) after we got FedEx and UPS into a dogfight over our business. UPS won.

Our esteemed leader actually wants them to be affordable. And now combined with our L16-R line, we have 18 models of linear servos to help power your projects.

I love to see pictures and videos of your creations so don't be shy about showing me whatcha got!
One of the best things about my job is seeing what everyone uses our actuators for.
The only thing I've done with them so far is putting retracts on my Quad.

Sorry for the video quality :o I was sort of bouncing around that day.
I'm mainly an air guy but I do have a couple of SC 4x4's I race locally, so there's still hope for me.
And I love everything RC....

Sorry Reg I didn't see your post. Yes if you call ahead, you can pick up your order at our secret 18 acre lakeside retreat\office. We're not really a retail outlet, but you can pickup here if you're on the island.

Sure, sure.... You just don't want to have to see me in person... I understand. Haha. That sounds great. I'm not too far away in Sooke.

Sooke! That's very close. Our office is on Elk Lake.
I'll be out in Sooke a bit this summer checking out PacWest RC's new field.
I live on the Malahat myself.

I would like to say that I ordered one of these actuators just over a week ago from Ian.
The service was great, fast shipping with UPS and the actuator has been put into the project I had in mind. It works very well and I am very happy with the result.:)
Thanks Ian

Ian, you like to see what "we" create with your products? I'm working on a self contained gooseneck trailer with use of your actuators. Hydraulics would have been too much and no room to house motor/pump so the actuators were a perfect fit. I should have it done in a couple weeks. Thanks for taking the time to share your time with us :)

Hi Cooper,
Wow! Yes I love to see everyone's creations! I wish I was skilled enough to build something myself, but I'm not. At least not a ground vehicle.
However the 8 year old inside loves to see what the other's boys toys look like.

I have used these in my one build and am very happy, now i'm working on my dump trailer build and thinking about putting an L16 on it? should that work aright?

Firgelli Technologies

Sure the L16-R should work for you depending on your expected load. Max lift on an L16-R@150:1 gearing is about 40lbs.

Okay so we changed our name and are now Actuonix Motion Devices.
The reason we changed our name is because Firgelli Technologies and Firgelli Automations were two sister companies that both produced actuators.
Firgelli Technologies specialized in micro actuators while Firgelli Automations made the larger units. Having 2 companies with the Firgelli name was very confusing to the customers of both companies. Hence we decided a name change was in order. Same people and owners, just a new name.

That's the final product of the goose neck trailer. I had to use 4 of your actuators in order to lift the dozer. It weighs around 80# and the geometry of the pivot points really don't help in lessening the forces. For a normal truck trailer two would have been more than enough. Your products are great and thanks for sharing your new info on your company. Reminds me of a future project that I will be sending you an order!!

Cheers for that info as I was wondering about it the other while looking at your site,
Living in Australia would they be able to order the rc actuators in or would I have to get then thought you overseas ?

Cheers Tracy

Unfortunately despite my best efforts I have so far been unable to secure a distributor in Australia. I think part of the problem is shipping is expensive from here and we have 146 models of linear actuators, too many for anyone to carry much stock of.
I would like to find someone to carry our 21 models of RC units though, any suggestions?

Nothing would make me happier, I have brought this up at meetings.
I did put some 30mm L16-S units up today though, and we have never had 30mm L16's before. We thought we'd give them a shot and see if they are popular.
I know, they should have been round right?

Still working on an Aussie distributor. You can order from the site, shipping would be pricey though.
