A friend of mine puts on a toy show in Frankfort IN to help support the local 4H club and has asked if I could get some guys to come and show off what we do with the RC trucks and equipment.

I know it is short notice but I thought I would share it anyway if any body local was interested. Maybe it could be something for next year. I know Izzy and I are going this weekend to show off our stuff and hopefully get some more people interested in our hobby.

Here are some pics I took today while TC1CAT, IZZY and I played at the toy show. Hopefully next year we can get some more members to attend and have some product to move around as well. We had a lot of interested people today and the promoter definitely wants us to come back next year.

The dozer was just a toy one of the vendors put out there for a load. I would say he is referring to the Carson loader.

How do the Stahl and the Carson loaders compare for size and function? I see the Carson is not the hydro model so I guess it's fair to say it's not up to it's full potential.

The loader is mine if you couldn't tell- military theme. Will have stars on it next and some of my lights- not working though. Carson loader being all electric is fine for me. While it might be slightly slower and less powerful than a hydraulic version, I still have this problem with mixing hydros and electrics.

Lynn - understatement - I think your loader is great. The gear noise from the electrics are a bit on the loud side but I like the swift speed. As for the theme - I thinks it's a great choice.

Lynn I wasn't criticizing your loader, it's much better than what I have, nothing! I was just asking how the two perform next to each other and what is the size difference. I do believe the hydros would make a loader perform better and obviously more like a 1:1 but hydros have down sides too; expense, spills and like you said the programming would blow my mind.

As for the Army green, not my taste but always nice to see variety!

Claus, No offense taken. I just like to see something other than yellow all of the time on the construction equipment. Plus I am an armor nut :D:D

If Travis would have ran the Stahl, I could give you some answers. I think that the Carson is larger than the Stahl. I am running the Carson on a 2 cell LiPo and I believe that Travis is using a 3 cell so he gets a little more speed than I do.

It was a fun day!!

Having had my Stahl for a while now and playing with it in both dirt and the rubber it is a decent machine on 12V.

I have personally seen an all electric carson in the dirt. I ran Lynns before I painted it it and I ran woodhogs hydro version at indy when we set up the radio.

I would say the carson wins hands down in both all electric and hydro versions.

1 the carson is bigger
2 the carson is a faster and more powerful drive system on 7.2V compared to Stahl's 12V
3 the electric cylinders on the carson are close to the same speed as the Stahl. The carson hydros are faster than both. I would say due to the fitting and hose sizes being bigger than the ones on the Stahl.
4 the carson is still being made!
