This is a beautiful looking Scania! I really like your eye for detail and the custom parts you made for it. This is what a Wedico should be. Seeing your truck completed, and how great it turned out, I can say the three years of building is well worth the effort and wait. I've been building my own Wedico, on and off, for 4 years, so now I don't feel so bad about it taking a long time!

Looking forward to seeing more photos!

In this Part i show you some modification about the Cab. First i made a Alu plate for reinforcement the Cab, of course also for the new Cab look. The Alu plate have the same high like the Original Cab.

http://img71.imageshack.us/img71/8619/1000ss8.jpg http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/8410/11og6.jpg

I modified also the Mudguard

http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/4742/41118.jpg

The Cab look i made in Brass and is functional.

http://img403.imageshack.us/img403/6838/83361403jr2.jpg

from the inside it looks like, he works like a sliding mechanism.

the new Cab entry

http://img218.imageshack.us/img218/5406/3643cf2.jpg

I need a another Cockpit for down Under because of the right hand drive. My Dealer in Swtzerland show me a RHD Wedico Cockpit (i was surprised, but Wedico made this for the british market). But the problem was the same it was too flat. After this i made one in ABS it looks better than the Original Wedico but it was lot of work.

http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/9758/5873c.jpg

http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/9572/5883.jpg

I modified also the Mirrors, the Wedico's are not bad but a litttlebit square

http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/5870/58961d.jpg

http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/7558/59031.jpg

The mirror effect are from a ABS-Mirror plate that i find by a Dealer.

At the Next Part i show you som kinds of unforeseen ?

Thanks

The Exhaust is the Original from Wedico Art. Nr. 464 i made new pipes with 10mm diameter, the Original from Wedico was to small and short.

The Intake "Snorkel" is 11mm high and 16mm wide, narrows to the rear
to 13,5mm. The diameter in the lower part is also 13.5mm. the Pipe to the Air Filter is 11 an 12mm in the diameter.

http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/6149/49131gm6.jpg

http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/9753/49181jm2.jpg

The mass is in Scale 1:14,5 (Wedico). I have only 2 pics for the Snorkel, one from OZ Scania (front view) and a Swiss Kenny (side view), I then converted these into the scale

I do not know precisely how they are, maybe there is someone here in the forum you just give the original mass.

Are you happy with the Veroma transmission and it's ratios? I'm currently building a Wedico Peterbilt with the aluminum 3 speed, dual Buhler motors and a PMD 4:1 reduction. I'm very happy with the speeds but not very happy with the transmission or the combination box, both have weaknesses.

The Trailers Cargoarea lenght are 525mm and 945mm and the Wide is 172mm.
I built the Chassie from a 2mm L-Profil with 5mm brass holder. At the Trailers front i built a 6mm aluminum plate for the Kingpin. The Wheels are from Leimbach and the landing legs are from Schulztec.

Im happy with it, the ratio is good. Some have problems with the Second Speed but my transmission is ok. I don't need a combination box, because the Motor have enough power ;).

I wasn't very clear, it's the Wedico transmission I had problems with. Was thinking about using the Veroma but went with the RC Channel transmission for now. Thank you for your reply.

Keep up the build, looks great!

for the Mudguards I turned myself a suitable aluminum tube that this is in compliance with the original "plastic Mudguards". After the pipe was cut in half, there were still glued aluminum statements.
