Your brass work is incredible. I like working with brass also and have a few questions, what do you cut your small parts with and what type of tool do you use to solder with? Brass in the US is expensive also. I don't buy it all at once so it's not as scary!

BERNA
07-03-2014, 02:43 PM
Hello Trackmaker, for cutting the pieces use a machine called DREMEL, and to weld the pieces I use tin and a gas torch, then put a picture of the tool

Not if the translation is correct in English because I do not know much, I comment as chromium is applied.
Forgive the translations

BERNA

Steps to follow to get the chrome.
One: apply a coat of primer (drying 24 hours)

Two: apply black basecoat (drying 1 hour)

three: apply two coats of high gloss varnish (drying 24 hours)

Four: apply the liquid chrome with very little air pressure and low flow summarysheet, 15 or 20 hands are needed to make that perfectly. (drying 24 hours)

Five: apply high gloss varnish to protect the chrome.

and that's it, the price of chromium in Spain is 180 € one liter
